So, the overall quality of the shell and everything is great. I haven't had any issues with that at all. However, I bought this with the intention of using it to go back and forth between the US and Europe every 3 months and in the first trip, the handle stopped working. It's been a year and a half since then and I've only gotten it to go all the way up once since then, for a few minutes. Then it got stowed and when it came back out, it was back to not working. And believe me, I've spent several minutes on several occasions trying to brute force it, tilt the handle, tilt the grip, etc. to no avail. Something is catching. So every time I travel, I have to use it with the handle at half-mast. And it's not a solid handle either. It wobbles, the grip is nearly coming off of the handle arms at this point. Now, the good: The shell of the case is solid. I haven't had any cracks or breaks and I've never felt like my stuff was at risk of damage or anything. That being said, I've only ever used it as a carry-on. I don't know that I'd trust it in checked baggage. If you're looking for something small for like, camping or traveling between two houses, something where you don't have to walk through an airport where you need a reliable handle, it's fine. If you need to walk with it, don't buy this one. The bags that come with it are fine. They're not top quality; the larger of the bags easily got a hole through it from a pencil or something, but it's not terrible. The small bag has been useful for bathroom stuff.
My husband bought this set new for Chistmas. I just used it for the first time this weekend. The "Chicago Plus 3-pc Collection" I found was hard to maneuver through the airport, especially on carpet. I want to replace the wheels because I love the unique color (Apple Butter). However, I see there is no way to get to the screws of the wheels with damaging the lining; unlike other luggage in the past. I'm so frustrated. I really need better wheels.
