Has all the features I look for in luggage,

I purchased 3 of these cases as a gift after owning one myself since last year. It has qualities not readily found in other more expensive suitcases. Each spinner wheel is doubled, making them stronger. It has hard casing on the bottom (hybrid), with extra pockets on outside (which fully hard cases do not have), and the top lid not only has two pockets inside but also has a full zipper compartment for laying slacks inside. It is also expandable.

VERY Sleek and will definitely hold up!

This product along with the 28" exceeded my expectations! It made traveling so much easier especially with the spinner wheels. I could tote both with ease without rolling them behind me. I could walk and roll them upright on each side of me. I kinda wish the back was black or a darker color cuz it does get a lil scratched up. The appearance though is very sleek. I like the hidden zippered compartments too!

Super Travel Suit Case 20

Trust me I do my research before spending money on ticket items close to 50 + dollars. I check everywhere for reviews etc,,, Amazon, Ebay etc. To date I have found all three sizes of this Hybrid suitcase sold as a set for 320.00. So when I saw the same exact suit case at WalMart I was all over that. Always purchase items if possible online, you can save a lot of money. I saved 15 dollars buying this product online verses in the store Plus my work has a Perk Site and I saved an addt. 3 dollars. Anyways the suit case is great and a good value, Highly recommended. Just a fyi I preferred the two smaller sizes, 20" and 24" , I considered the 28" but after looking at the suitcase it looked way to big and cumbersome for traveling unless you needed a huge suit case. And P.S. The rollers on the suit case rock !!!!!

Excellent bag, especially for frequent travellers!

I did numerous searches online as I am very picky about the functionality of my travel bag. I never check, but want a durable & long lasting bag that will survivie if it ever does get checked! My biggest criteria (has all, more details below!): - must have exterior pocket for toiletry bag (easy in & out) - must have DOUBLE spinner wheels, I don't care how nice the wheels are, single spinner wheels don't cut the mustard! - prefered hardcase/hardsided, but still needed the exterior/front pocket! - must be under 22" to fit wheels-in on most aircraft but still wide enough to offer plenty of pa king space! (( it fits easily, might be tight if expanded, but will still fit in full-size overheads)) This bag fit ALL of the above, added bonus it is a "hybrid" (part hardsided & part soft). It not only had my favorite packing style (I love the half n half of hard cases vs the flip-top of most soft side bags) with PLENTY of room on both sides, and good securing zipper-compartment on one side with elastic strap on the other side. Also, zipper side has nice extra organizer pouches. Also, the extreior has 2 pocketz in front, a super small near the top & one that fits toiletry bags below. HUGE convenience! Added bonus of the half-hardside ("hybrid") is that all main edges are protected, hence longer bag durability plus protection of inside items. A PLUS, it expands about 1.5-2" if you need it! Wheels are super smooth, double wheels arec a must have to roll nicely in carpeted airports. Also important is that the wheels SHOULD NOT recess too much, because if you pull (like traditional 2-wheel bags) it needs to not drag the back/bottom edge on the ground if you are under 6' tall! Double wheels roll in spinner style easier, also typically keep the bag from tipping easier also. Noce plus is this bag doesnt tip, has a slightly wider bottom than top. As an example of its sturdiness, I pack clothes on one side & shoes + other on 2nd side. Toiletry bag in front pocket. Then i slip a 16" laptop sleeve inside when the bag is almost shut & I can easily slide my bulky & heavy dell laptop in & out as needed! So much easier than lugging it in my shoulder bag! It hasnt tipped yet, even when expanded one trip. Lastly, the overall durability seems excellent. Zippers are heavy duty & slide easily. Bag is light by itself. I do recommend treating the soft-side portion with a stain-protector, I believe this helps its longevity with snags & the like. Loved it so much after the first trip, went ba k and bought 2 more.....at $40 I'll have 'new bag' for at least a decade!

20" carry on does the trick for short trips

Honestly, the best things about this little guy are the wheels and price. The 2x4 wheel design is exactly the same as seen on the Travelers Choice Tasmanian carry on which is over double the price. At $40, I really can't complain about this economical piece of luggage. I can just give you some FYI's. The zippers (especially the inner and outer compartments) are not very strong, so please be gentle while zipping them up. When zipped up, they were sturdy enough to stay shut though. Also, the exterior ABS (gray) sections bruise easily without cracking, and the exterior nylon (black) parts become fuzzy like a sweater after use. The weakest part is the handle. If you try to push the luggage sideways on all four wheels with the handle fully extended, it collapses on it's own. Not a big deal if you pull the luggage behind you on 2 wheels, or if you just lock the handle at it's mid point and push. I used this thing for a 5 day trip, and it held up OK. It fit easily into the overhead compartment on the plane, and the spinner wheels made it possible to maneuver in tight spots on different surfaces with ease. The hybrid design gave just the right amount of flexibility to fit my stuff without having to expand the luggage even with the tapering top. It's nice to have the expanding option too. The interior is composed of thin nylon compartments with some cheap zippers and straps. A dryer sheet cured the plastic smell out of the box. The shoe pockets are really handy. All in all, for the price, it's a good buy for infrequent use. If you're looking for something sturdier, you're going to have to shell out double the $$. It looks a lot more expensive than it is, especially with the nice wheels, and at $40 this thing is worth a try.

Off to a good start. I do a great deal of business travel and although I had high hopes, I had little expectation that the bag would survive the first trip because it was so inexpensive. After a few airport transfers, I was pleased to see the handles, zippers and wheels were all in tack, which was my biggest concern. There is more packing space than you think. There's a deep front pocket that goes the height of the bag and a short pocket for last minute items. The convenient side handle and locking pull handle both seem pretty sturdy. The unique hard/soft case is quite stylish making it easy to identify on an airport carousel. I recommend using Site to Store and go with the 29" for $50 (less than the in-store price).

I was torn between a conventional softsided suitcase and a hardsided suitcase and this hybrid was the perfect compromise. I used it for a recent overseas business trip and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The wheels allowed for easy mobility and the suitcase is attractive and durable. On my trip home, I over packed it to the point of stretching it and wasn't sure it would make it home. I was pleasantly surprised that it made it through 6 plane changes, 4 internationally, without any damage! I like the carry on size so much, that I will be purchasing the additional matching pieces.

Fell apart

This suit case is junk. I got two uses out of it until the case near one of the rear wheels starting showing a crack. That same trip the crack went around the wheel and it fell off. That same trip, the other rear wheel fell off. It's now effective as a table with two legs and the interior is now protected by a very thin liner. Might use it as a storage bin now. I gave it two stars because the the inside was spacious and had a divider so my wife and I can separate our clothes.

I was disappointed when I used the case for the first time and dis discovered a crack on the lower left side of the case. In addition, I noted that the black fibre was already showing signs of wear.

Not good for air travel at all!

Reviewed in the USA on 2014-10-20T17:00:00

Initially I would have given this item (and all the matching pieces I purchased) much higher rating, however after the 2nd trip I began to have issues with the handles becoming difficult to recess, the wheels no longer spin correctly, causing it to become any old wheeled suitcase (negates the whole purpose of purchasing spinning set!) - and now after a couple more trips there's a crack in the hard shell portion that you can actually see the contents of the case through!! Seriously- of all issues this one enraged me! I know that the airlines are hard on cases, this is why I purchased the hybrid set! The combination of the hard shell + fabric should have insured a more secure product. I do not recommend this set to anyone who travels by air. The standard care (if you want to call it that) given by the airlines will not hold up. The handle, the wheels, and the exterior. Looks great, packed well, but that's it, obviously they did not stress test these at all!
