I have used Trewax Indian Sand wax Maple like in color on my floors and kitchen cabinets for years. I can not find it now. Do you still make that color. It just says Indian sand on my old can. I don't how to get in touch with your company. Would you help me find this product. I love it.
I had used Trewax 60 years ago when I had hardwood floors throughout my home. Loved it then and for some reason I still have some. I can't remember if it is the same can or one bought to polish banister rails on the front porch. I do stained glass now and I use it to polish my glass panels and protect the glass and solder/lead. Works great for that also. Thanks for staying in business. I recommend tree was to everyone.
I agree with the other reviewer, the container allows the wax to dry out. But when the wax is new and soft as it was meant to be, it is an excellent wax for wood furniture. There are a lot of other waxes that are in better thought out containers than this; which is a shame, because it really is a good product, just in a bad container.
I have been using this product for more than 10 years. My last old can still has product in it. Soft just like it was 10 years ago. Yesterday I bought a new can. The product was dried out with about 45-50% evaporated. What was left was hard and unusable. I have heard of this problem but didn't believe it. I do now, totally unusable. Need to rethink your can's seal at least.
I am a fan of the old Trewax airtight container. The new twist on top allows air in to dry out the wax. This turns the wax into a dried out brick. I was using Indian Sand Paste Trewax, now Beaumont Mahogany, to wax the Patina of a statue. Beaumont's Mahogany version does not apply smoothly and leaves little chunks dropped all over as you try to spread the brick wax. I guess the new containers are less expensive to produce.
