My child has tried many different headsets before turtle beach and they are all in the garbage. As a dad I kept hearing words like these headsets stink or are wack. So now we are both happy cause I'm not being forced to learn new slang words everyday . These headsets are worth every penny.
Amazing sound. I love that you can hear the whole game sound in the headset and not have a single sound go through the tv. I also love the fact that you can change the volume of the game with the headset and the volume of the party you are in.
I'm really happy I did. I bought this for my husband's birthday a week ago with the 2 yr warranty and it's actually pretty incredible. I purposely waited to write a review to give it a week in case it broke or what not and so far it's still in perfect condition. The sound is AMAZING! Before we had a one sided headset that we bought for $15 but I really wanted to get him something nicer made for gaming. He is currently playing Destiny on the PS3 and you can hear every footstep, water streaming, the effects when the ships go back into orbit and so many other details. What I found to be really cool was when there is a fight going on in the left in the game, you hear it on the left ear and vice versa when you walk away or turn from the fight. The cupping of the headset for the ears is really comfortable so it won't bother if you play for hours and the communication is a lot better from the other headset we had, you can hear the other people louder and clearer and he can't hear me when watching Netflix on the computer which is 5ft away. I do think I have a wider head than him so I do want to post a warning about the snugness but it's not too bad. I was a bit concerned about it being wireless because of the battery life but so far there aren't any problems. He has played for 6 hours straight one night and it didn't need any charging so I can't say what would happen if you go beyond the 15hr life span lol. So overall we are happy about this headset and I do understand spending $70 or $76 with the warranty might be steep, believe me it's a luxury that was not necessary which I could barely afford but since it was his 40th birthday and we haven't been able to get gifts for each other in years, I really wanted to get this for him and so far it's worth every penny. It's worth the price. You can hear every little thing in the game. It's amazing! Makes you want to keep playing for ever.I got one for my brother as well.
This is a really great headset. The set up was simple and the sound is wonderful. The battery life is really impressive...I confess, I've had days where I spent 12 hours straight playing Bloodborne and the battery never died! My only wish is that the volume dial was on the front of the earpiece instead of being on the back. I sit in a tall-backed recliner and sometimes the control rubs on the chair and the volume is either turned way up or way down mid-play.
My Sony bluetooth headphones for PS3 sound fine, but the mic never really worked. Turtle beach always has the best sound tech.
I bought this headset exclusively for use on a PC. I do not know how well it works on console. This headset served me well being used about three days a week for a year and a half. The sound quality coming through the speakers was very good and the mic is above average. I never had any issues with connectivity. The battery life is very good and charges faster than normal use depletes the battery charge. I have had it powered on for over six hours without charging multiple times. The mic mute button is far more important in practice than it seems. The headset has a few flaws that I encountered in my time with it. The plastic band to adjust the size and fit your head is rather weak for a part intended to flex repeatedly. If you are not careful it WILL break. I am fortunate enough to be able to repair structural damage like this but I understand few others are able. Take extra care when putting the headset on and adjusting the size. The usefulness of my headset ended when the usb charging port became loose and started causing electrical issues. Charging it is now a finicky process that leaves me worried about electrical shorts damaging my USB ports. Every headset dies eventually and I gave this one a lot of everyday wear and tear. I would have liked if it lasted a bit longer but I was thrilled with how well it worked while it functioned normally.
so i bought this headset especially for the ps4 due to my set up i needed a usb one so i "upgraded" from my p11s. First thing i noticed was that there was hardly any bass, idk about you but i like bass. The headset did have its perks like easy muting volume and such but i have gone through 2 of these in the span of 6 months, and i take good care of them always on a rack and such but both have been mic issues, the detatchable mic can cause alot of problems if your into online chatting. Both times the mic has stopped functioning, and to make it function you have to have constant pressure on it, it got pretty annoying, but if your a solo guy then you shouldnt be too annoyed by them. i was more satisfied with my older $40 headset than these
Bought first set in January. Worked fantastic until the plastic above left ear broke leaving my with a dangling earpiece. Liked them so much I bought a second set....same exact thing less than a month later. I dont abuse my equipment so I know this is not my fault. Customer service is non existant other than an email address that never responds and a customer su9port phone number who tells you use the email for warrantee claims. I was fooled twice. TB will never get another dime of my money.
