i loved the flavor! will reorder it over and over again!
This was good. I prefer cooking it in the air fryer over pan fried. It gave it a little more crunch. The flavor was good too. No complaints here. Will buy again
texture and flavor are awesome!
Tempeh is great, this tempeh is different because they 'soak' it in seasonings and it will take on 'that' flavor and not the 'steak' like/plain flavor regular tofu has (I always soak in aminos and evoo), a number of companies do it this way to ease you into the taste of veggie products and also so it can be tossed 'raw' into a salad or grilled in a skillet. I was surprised about the extent of the seasoning as a long time vegetarian, I was thinking it would have a 'little' bit of bacon type seasoning, but they literally made this tempeh almost taste like bacon. If you're okay with that, then I would get this one. This is also the only tempeh my Walmart has, so not many other options for me.
so delicious, good ingredients i love tofurky products
Okay, I'm not really sure why the price is coming up here as $17.99 when I know I only paid about $3.95. Nonetheless...this tempeh recipe is very tasty. This was the first time I learned tempeh could be treated like bacon, and even though it isn't exactly the same, it is quite good. (I think I ate it all that day.) Definitely worth trying and adding to your repertoire! (ps you can also make your own bacon from regular tempeh.)
I really like the flavor and meaty texture of this vegan product. The tempeh is best when lightly fried in just a little oil.
Maybe its just me (first time user of tempeh) it didn't receive my seasonings well. The texture was like a bunch of little beans stuck together. A strong after taste. I don't see how people eat it. I don't know if it was this brand or if its all tempeh with this taste and texture but its definitely not for me. I stopped trying to be vegan a couple weeks after this experience.
Not my thing. I liked their other tofurky stuff, but this is just bad.
Always wanted to try Temp but this was not it. Taste like medicine. Texture is also too chewy.
