The creative curving adds flair and matches well with an upscale entertainment system. Very stable and parts look sturdy with one exception - a metal tab the holds up a glass shelf had been bent in shipping. Metal loses integrity when it is bent (e.g., try hitting a bent nail after hit has been straightened and see how easy it bends again), so it snapped off when i tried to straighten it. Wayfair and Walmart were awesome - they coordinated a replacement part with little hassle from me. In the end, i have a beautiful stand that should last for years.
I saw this stand at the Sony store and bought it online, now regretting not doing my homework first to check the dimensions, weight carrying capacity and user reviews. It is very aesthetically looking and quite easy to assemble. The drawback is the shelves are too narrow to fit a standard AVR (I have Yamaha Rx-A1040) and not designed well to support a lot of weight. In fact the bottom shelf which is the widest does not have any real support and easily bends when even a moderate weight unit is placed on it. Sure it will probably be fine for a modern blu ray player or wii console etc., but not sturdy enough for any decent audio gear. I also struggled a lot with the cable management system (the vertical panel at the back of the stand), which is too wide and thus takes additional user space on the back which is completely unnecessary. What I mean is the unit will butt up to the shelf, making it difficult to get access to at the back and in some cases interfering with the power cords, Wi-Fi antennas etc. Unfortunately, the way it is build and designed, the CMS is needed for structural support and cannot be removed as an option. So, if you only plan to use it as a nice furniture piece to impress your visitors it is a good buy as the stand can easily hold small units like cable box, players and possibly a compact home theater system. But for advanced A/V which requires lots of physical space to fit and cool the units you need to drive those 1000W speakers is not a good option.
