This pad is the flagship of size 5 extra heavy pads, no other product matches it not even the Always ZZZ size 5's. Unless you are hemmoraging (!) these Kotex pads are the most absorbent period product. I do appreciate the non-woven wrapper as it is discrete when you are opening it. This pad, like other size 5's, has two sets of wings but the back isn't just adhesive tabs its actually part of the pad that folds out for extra coverage! Front wings usually unstick themselves and then invariably stick to my thighs so I keep a pair of scissors in the bathroom to cut those off. These pads are very soft and cushiony yet they also resist bunching which reduces the functioning of your pad. A good pair of panties should be worn that firmly holds your pad tightly against you. Ill-fitted undies will allow the pad to move around as you do. I've found panties with a hem running down the middle of them from front to back will press the middle of the pad into your form. This 'form fitting' is also more flattering and looks better under tighter bottoms when you are out and about. Hope this review helps!

I wish I knew this product existed sooner! This is a must have for all women and young girls who suffer heavy periods whether be it during the day or at night when asleep. This product does not cause any irritation (unlike the thin types and Always line) and is so comfortable and prevents leakage. It is not easy to find in stores. Please, do not obsolete this fantastic product. We need to preserve and continue to produce good quality products in the market. Thank you!!

These are way better than any "brand X" extra heavy overnight pads I have ever tried! They are certainly the most comfortable and not at all prone to leakage. I will warn anyone who considers these that they are VERY LONG, like 15 inches which is great if you need them that way like me but if you are a regular ultra thin normally then these probably aren't for you. I will definitely be buying more and will recommend them to anyone I can. Thanks again!
It feels like a diaper, but I actually kind of like it. These are the thickest, yet softest pads I've ever tried. When I wear these I know I'm protected, cause I'm literally covered from front to back, and they absorb amazingly well. Best overnight pad ever

I like to use these at night where there is less flow happening than during the day. The pads I use normally are thicker than these. The U by Kotex Maxi Pads are long for overnight use but thinner, and I feel less secure during the day with thinner pads and a heavy flow. I took a star off because I prefer no wings, but there was not a wings-free option for this particular type of pad. Overall, I found it did what it is intended to do and worked well for me at night.
