My 30 White machine gave it up and I needed to replace it. I chose this machine for two reasons: 1. It had the exact same features as the machine I had used for over 30 years; and 2. Price point - the price on this machine was amazing at under a $100 It was also great that Walmart delivered so no driving store to store searching and I even purchased a recommendation of the hard case for the machine. It too is great with ample room to store spools of thread and a bobbin keeper.

I ordered this machine on Wednesday afternoon and it was at my door Thursday morning. Impressive delivery time. First of all, let me state that I do not enjoy sewing. I only do it because I want specific things that I cannot buy. This machine is the third machine I have owned and it is the easiest to use. I quite like it.
Well made and functions are great ! This machine is amazing. It is a Singer after all. Very easy to use although the manual could be a little less confusing with separate sections for the different languages.
I bought this so that I could turn a pair of jeans into capris...worked great, however I broke one of the needles going over the bulky inseam...it was really easy to install a new needle and the machine comes with 3 extra needles, so I was back on task in a minute :)
Usable right out of the box. Just add thread. I had to buy a new one as my old one was too complicated and I never had the instruction manual. (Just to thread it properly). I completed two projects with my new machine within two days.
This is my first sewing machine, I am just learning to sew, and the manual is very easy to follow.
Easy to operate for a first timer, plus it`s a Singer brand.
I was looking for low price machine and must say it's a great machine for the price.
This is an inexpensive machine, however you expect it to at least sew consistently. It will sew just fine for a while then the tension will be all screwed up...and I don't even touch anything that would affect the tension. Do not buy! I didnt expect to get a fabulous machine for the money, but I did expect to get a machine that works.
