These shorts are made from a thin and extremely flexible material (perhaps the thinnest and most flexible of any on the market). The cloth feels similar to the one used in UA compression t-shirts. It's rather unique among shorts, and means that they are light and never grab at you, but rather move with you, so you barely feel them. At 6', the M shorts end just about the knee, which is perfect. The waist band is 1 3/4" tall elastic - a bigger span of elastic than most shorts. This makes for a solid grip on the waist. A prior review complained the waistband was loose, but that would only be the case if you bought the wrong size. I typically wear an M in shorts, and the M in these is fairly snug in the waist, but I preferred it to the L (which I could've worn also). The draw string looks like a shoe lace. Appears decent. I haven't actually used the draw string though, because the solid waist band makes it unnecessary. The pockets are large enough for normal phone/keys/etc. Nothing wrong with the appearance.
These are the most comfortable shorts I've ever worn. The materials is light and soft, yet seems sturdy. The waistband is snug and secure enough that you can easily carry your cellphone, wallet, and keys in the pockets and the shorts won't budge. Nor will you feel any discomfort at all from the waistband. It's always a flyer when you buy athletic shorts online; you've got your favorite pair at home and the odds that the new ones will come anywhere close are extremely remote. But these shorts have done it. I'm 6'0", 175 and the large fits perfectly.
I love these shorts. I have 4 pairs now, and grab them first out of all the shorts I have. They are a little bit stretchy, which is great for mobility. The shorts are very comfortable to wear. The material is thin, though it generally isnt a problem for me.
These are probably my favorite shorts that I bought from UA. They're comfortable, move freely, and the material is quality. I use these shorts primarily for training in the gym and prefer longer shorts. The 10 inch inseam makes these the perfect length for me, but they're not so baggy that they interfere with my training.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have ten pairs . Replaced all my other shorts. Having 10 pairs should be testament enough. It is for me. Both wife and I wear only U A garments . They make us feel good
The raid short is an awesome gym short. I have about 10 of them. They are Light, cool, flexible, loose.... the only complaint I have with these shorts is quality. Some are perfect and some begin to fall apart after the first wash. The stitching begins to come undone and then gives the appearance that the shorts are old and falling apart. I have about 3 or 4 that are like that. Other than that I love love these shorts
I ordered these shorts from UA, wasn't sure what to expect and was a bit skeptical when I received them. However, they have turned out to be my favorite pair of shorts. They are very thin, lightweight, and feel like they have unlimited range of stretch. They do run slightly big, and look and feel like they are longer than 10'' as they hit just below my knee (most all 10'' UA shorts hit me at or slightly above knee). The waist is good, never slides up or down and is super comfortable. I'm 6', lean, 32'' waist and ordered MD, could probably have been ok with SM. So far they have held up well at the gym and are by far the most comfortable shorts I have owned. Literally feel like you aren't wearing anything at all.
First pair of UA athletic shorts that I've purchased so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But after wearing them a couple of times, I can say that it won't be the last pair that I purchase. These shorts are unmatched when it comes to the comfort of the material used. They're loose enough so that they're not restricting, but also not too baggy that they look oversized. Very Satisfied. .
Great shorts, well made - but the drawstring is tiny. So weird - one of the things that I usually appreciate about Under Armour is that their drawstrings are long enough. Not this one. I purchased the 3XL size, and the drawstring is way too small. Would love if it someone from UA replaced the drawstring and modified these short going forward. Would love to buy more.
Love the fit and performance, I liked them so much I bought 4 pairs of them. The problem is every pair has developed hitches in them over the span of a few months wear. Other people may be fine with that but I'm not especially when I have other brand shorts for years hitch free.
