[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hesitated to spend this much money on a jacket online. however, this jacket is WORTH the money! It's more a 2 in 1 jacket as you can wear the outer shell by itself and the sherpa part by itself. I have run in the pouring rain with the outer shell (live in Seattle) with my phone in the pocket along with a $20 bill in the zipper pocket in the outside breast pocket. Stayed ABSOLUTELY dry! I also moved from Las Vegas to Seattle, so I am struggling with being cold all the time. I am toasty warm in this jacket! the outer shell does run a little big. Im 5'3 and 119 lbs and bought an extra small. But the sherpa jacket fits perfect. Even though wearing the outer shell by itself looks a little big i still get lots of compliments on it. It is super comfortable. The only thing i would change is having an inside pocket on the shell as the sherpa jacket does. Other than that, I absolutely LOVE this jacket. It is very comfortable, warm and looks great with a variety of outfits. Easy to clean AND it dries quickly. So even when i am out in the pouring rain, i drape it over a chair and it's dry in about 2 hours. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
The zipper is so incredible, I actually stopped to read the tags! It snaps together nicely, eliminating the need to fidget with it. As soon as I saw this jacket, I could tell it was different from my other 3-in-1 jackets from other brands. Everything feels durable, down to the zipper. Which may not seem important, but I frequently send jackets to North Face to have the zipper replaced. Will definitely be on the lookout for more items with the MagZip.
Both the inner fleece and outer jacket are excellent products. I wear them separately quite often depending on the temp/weather and when it's very cold I use them together. The warmth is fabulous and it repels snow and rain well! I am 5'6" and 150 - the medium fits well, not snug and not too loose. The length is great, I love that the small of my back is covered! Overall, I highly recommend this jacket for fun in the snow!
I received this jacket a few weeks ago. I have had the chance to use it in 20 degrees and snow and 45 degrees and heavy rain. I have worn only the insert, only the shell and both of them together. I LOVE this coat! It is warm enough in 40 degrees using just the shell wearing a tshirt underneath due to the fact it blocks out all wind! The insert is warm by itself in 35 degrees. It's a great jacket for spring, fall and winter in Michigan and Wisconsin where I share my time. I'm super happy with the purchase. It's great quality. The hood is large so it covers the sides of your face and forehead in the rain. The pocket is way to small for a phone so I don't even know why they suggest that option. I usually wear M to Large in UA tops and I ordered a large in the jacket. I returned the large because it was just too big and frumpy. I got a medium instead and it is perfect. I am 5' 6" and 180 pounds.
This is a great jacket--you don't get too hot, or too cold--allows you to workout when its cold without sweating uncontrollably. The Jacket runs about a size too big. I had thought it was just the runners that were complaining about this--but even if you have a lot of muscle (my preferred sport is Kickboxing) --I'd still go on the small side about a size smaller than usual ) I wanted this jacket to be roomy, so I purchased a Large--then exchanged it for a small ( usually wear small to Medium) and the small is perfect and still roomy. Perfect all purpose jacket ( as you can pull out the fleece if you just need a windbreaker with minimum heat ) Excellent buy!
I couldn't be more happy with receiving this jacket. Initial impression is that it is well made, well constructed and fashionable. I wear UA Women's medium shirts. I went with the medium jacket in black. It fits perfectly. The length, the cut, ample room, and figure flattering. I tend to be the person that wears a sweatshirt in the winter. I get hot easily etc. This jacket appealed to me for multiple reasons, but one being the layering option. The jacket it light weight, yet made for both fall/winter/spring wear. LOVE IT!
I hadn't been snowboarding in over 5 years (Southern California drought) and was in need of a new jacket. I've tried UA stuff on before and felt as though most of the items ran small-er than other brands but I really liked this jacket. I tried it on and was surprised that it fit and in fact, was too big (I'm not a small gal XL). I didn't realize until I the morning of snowboarding how few pockets there are in the jacket. there are 2 zippered pockets on the outside plus a 'media' pocket on the chest. I have an iPhone 5 (not the huge one by any means) but it was a tight fit shuffling it into the pocket. I guess I'm used to other brands that have a much roomier interior pocket and with access for your headphones. There are 2 interior pockets that lacked any form of closure (no zipper/velcro). They would suffice but I want security with my pockets! The jacket was very comfortable and warm (32 degree weather) with both the fleece liner and jacket itself. I like the jacket but would love to see an interior chest pocket added for future jacket models. Under Armour you did well with this jacket-thank you!
I bought this jacket looking to replace another 3in1 style. I purchased the navy which is a really pretty blue however the arms on both jackets are crazy huge/long. I am 5'4" bought the medium - the outer jacket the sleeves cover my hands! I have used the velcro to "tighten" them as much as possible but now when I stick my hand in the pocket the extra velcro gets stuck to the pockets! Also, the sleeves on the liner are really big as well but there are no straps to try and make them smaller. The shell is very roomy but the liner is much more tailored - I don't think I would feel comfortable wearing it alone as it is almost too form fitting for me. I will say that the two jackets together are very warm and kept me dry in a blizzard but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed in the overall sizing.
Well this jacket will keep you warm for sure. The down side for me was that my torso didn't fill well. My hood on the jacket didnt fit well bc it was so big in length. I dislike the Velcro on the jacket. If you don't have it vecroed it with catch on to the jacket and cause it to rub on the outer shell. I had to take a razor and lighter to make the fuzzy/damage area smooth again. It goes for the same with the built in jacket. I left my jacket opened and it frayed my inner jacket pocket. I will still wear this jacket but I'm always cautious of how I have it on. I'm 4'10 athletic built. They should considered petite sizes would be great. The inner jacket fits me way better than the outer shell for sure.
This jacket is a great casual jacket. Its does run a little big but it has a nice shape and it's very comfortable....it just is not that warm. The temp rating is 0-55 but honestly, I wore it for a 5 minute walk at 20 degrees and I was freezing. The body was not as bad but my arms were very cold. This jacket would not be warm at 0 degrees. If you have mild winters then this is a fantastic jacket. But don't let the look fool you, it isn't all that warm....
