This is a great grill. I have a very large brinkman but it is too big for the apartment I moved to, so I bought this smaller uniflame. This does have locking legs and i very secure and reliable. Not once have I had any issues with the lags falling as long as they are locked with the included locking pins. I use this grill to cook all kinds of BBQ items, (steak, chicken, burgers, hot dogs, even baked potatos). This cooks any item just like my Brinkman grill and at the same speed, (this might even be faster). Of course I did read the comment about "cooking water", But who tries to boil water on a BBQ? This grill is great for cocking anything else. This is a great buy and I would buy another one anytime and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small grill for limited space.
have cooked 5 times and still have not used a bottle of gas yet. heats fully within 7 to 10 min. great grill.
i have bought one for the past 3 years,i use my grill all year round.this grill does a great job.i gave my big grill away.i can cook for 5 people with no problems.i cook ribs, chicken, hamburger, corn on the cob.it might look small but it does a big job.
JUST BOUGHT MY SECOND ONE. FIRST ONE LASTED 4 YEARS ON A COVERD PATIO TALE. BIG IMPROVEMENT NOW LEGS ARE HIGH ENOUGH SO PROPANE BOTTLE SITS UPRIGHT. WE LOVE IT.
I purchased this grill about 8 years ago. At this point it was cheaper to replace it, instead of replacing parts. It's a wonderful little grill, I've used it for camping as well as cooking at home. I love every feature about it, but I love the most, is that after all these years, you still carry this product. Thank you Walmart!
The grill is perfect! We are able to grill 6-8 hamburgers, chicken, etc at a time! It's portable. We've had it two years and the only problem we have had with it was our fault. We didn't buy a brush to clean it and the drippings caught fire melting the wires underneath a bit.. Opps. We quickly bought a brush, cleaned it up and it's still running perfectly! We use it May- Oct faithfully 3x a week.. so it's been put to good use! Highly recommend for small patio aptarment living or if you don't want your grill to consume your entire porch!
At my apartment complex we are only allowed gas or electric grills. We needed something small for our balcony. We are first time users of any grill and it was really easy. The instructions could be a little more clear. It is based off of pictures with only a short caption. Some you kind of just have to assume this is where this goes. All in all it was easy to assemble but it was annoying because the legs kept folding in. Yes the legs folded in more than a few times when I was putting it together and the main grill seems kind of sketchy like it might fall inside the grill, but when I put it on a table and started cooking, it never folded in. It barely even moved. It did the job it was supposed to. Nothing fancy. A negative is things falling in burned so quickly I wish there was some kind of catch plate. Good for people who don't need anything fancy and just want their burgers! The top grill is only useful for keeping things like your buns or veggies warm it didn't really cook at all. If you are going to use this grill often I'd reccomend getting the adapter and the 20lb tank because the little ones empty so quickly and they are not reusable at all. : ) have fun grilling!
This little grill is "grate" (a little grilling humor there)!!! Bought it to keep in our camper to use instead of the charcoal grill with all of its inconveniences, but find ourselves bringing it home to use for picnics, etc. This heats up very quickly, has a built-on thermometer, heats/cooks evenly, and responds very well to heat adjustments (which, of course, we couldn't do with charcoal). Lightweight and portable with a latched lid. The upper grate to keep things warm while other stuff cooks is wonderful. There is enough room within the grill to store 2 gas cylinders, and the lid still easily/securely latches. Folding legs have never been a problem for us - very stable. Very easy to assemble - almost everything was a wingnut, so tool use was minimal, and things can be easily tightened if they work loose. All of this for $35!!! Even if it lasts me for one season, that's fine with me. However, I think it will last at least a couple of seasons. The only thing I wish they would improve on is having a grease cup or something - the grease accumulates on the bottom of the grill and has to be wiped out after each use. We solved 90% of this problem by putting wide strips of foil on the bottom on either side of the burner.
I have had 2 of these and just bought my third. The electronic lighter has went out on my current one and the top is about ready to rust through. Don't remember when I put the current one in service but will make a note on my new one. Believe the electronic lighter went out in less than a year. They offer a $3.00 replacement warranty which I did not buy but will monitor my new grill and if problems occur within a year and a new one is purchased will add the warranty to the new grill. Grill is good for the money and if you can get around the break downs when they happen it will last between a year or two outside and uncovered. Easy now.
Easy to assemble. Does what I bought it to do. Grill 3 or 4 hamburgers without firing up the big grill or waiting on charcoal.
