My wife was looking for a WONDERFUL Father's Day gift and this what I got!!!! Goes to show how much she really loves me and knows what I want. This grill came unassembled but the LARGE print and picture instructions made it easy to put together in about 45 minutes. Plus all the tools I needed came with the parts kit. After attaching the gas cylinder and checking for leaks per instruction, I fired it right up and grilled on it for 3 straight meals!!!
Decided to step it up a notch this time and purchased this UniFlame 3-burner model in the Sedona Red color a couple weeks ago. What a difference an additional $30 makes! We have owned two Char-Broil brand two-burner grills (also purchased from Wally World) in the past few years. They were el-cheapo but “work-horses” for what we paid. Goodbye “old faithful”! Hard not to compare the two because we had the other brand over the past maybe 8 years, but they are totally different. This grill has three burners, and they are situated front-to-back, versus the two burners on the older grill which are side-to-side. The grilling space on the UniFlame is about 75% larger than what we were used to, which is nice. The grill surface is much better and more like a professional grill. The igniters on our new grill work like a charm…turn the knob, push the button, and flames magically appear from whichever burner you are trying to ignite, including the side burner igniter. Our other grills have had limited longevity of the igniters (which you also had to push repeatedly to make work), so we will need to see if these last longer. So far, so good. Assembly was done by me (the wife) without assistance. It took about 2 hours, but I was doing it at a leisurely pace. The directions made sense and the small parts were presented in a bubble-pack with the part numbers on the outside of the cardboard backing, making it easy to know what was what. No additional tools needed---it even included a Phillips screwdriver. Gentlemen—while it was easy to figure out, I wouldn't recommend putting it together without reading the directions first ;-) Cooking on this grill has been great so far! We've used it about 6 times already and no complaints whatsoever! Flare-ups happen with hamburgers (what grill doesn't do that), but you have enough space to move the food over or up and avoid charring it. The burners are very responsive to controlling the amount of flame. There is a thermometer on the outside of the top, which is also nice. The side burner has a great flame. Maybe too much—you can't turn it down beyond what you are probably used to as medium on your house stovetop. However, this helps with windy conditions. We've used the side burner maybe 3 times so far, without problems. There is a lid to cover it when not in use—so it is an extra surface to put things on. The sides have little “shelves” on the front to hold your seasonings, utensils, your cold drink, etc.! I purchased the grill at my local store, after reading reviews and deciding which grill I wanted. When I got to the store, this grill was not one of the ones they had set up as floor models. I was disappointed, but I looked at the stacks of boxes behind them, and saw this ONE, and actually in the color I wanted, and snapped it up! Bonus is it was $25 less at the store than the price I had seen online ($125 vs $150). I was a bit worried because it did have a tag on it that said “Site to Store” so was wondering if it was a return of a defective item. I have seen many reviews about these grills coming shipped with bent, missing, or defective parts. I did not have any of those problems. The grill came with all parts and nothing was bent, broken, or missing. I drive a large sedan…this grill will NOT fit in your trunk in its box! Had to go home and get the minivan with 3rd seat folded down to get it home. It is heavy/awkward to move—need two people for that. Lots of packing materials to dispose of too. I must give props to the guys in the lawn/garden department for helping me move this behemoth! They were so helpful! Anyway, if you are looking for a new grill and want to step up from the el-cheapo brands…you can't go wrong with this one. It is currently priced only $25-$35 more than the el cheapo without the side burner. Wally World does offer free assembly, so if you have time, you should take advantage of that.
I picked this up at the local Wal-Mart store; this was on sale and was a great buy. They have free assembly but I decided to assemble it myself. The overall build took about one hour. The grill was up and running cooks very well and works every time.
Recently bought this UniFlame Grill in the Sedona Red, and I must say that I absolutely love it!! I had it shipped to my house and I got it quick too. Assembly was fast and easy, All that you need is included, they even provide you with a phillips screwdriver. Once I had this grill all set up and finally turned it on, it did not disappoint! I was thinking about buying another Charbroil grill because of brand name, but decided to get a bigger grill in a color I like for a lot less compared to Charbroil. If you buy this grill you will not be disappointed, that is unless you're a horrible griller.
Got this a couple of weeks ago and we love it. We did site to store. It arrived very quickly and in perfect Condition. Was very easy to put together. The whole top piece came fully assembled. I highly recommend it!
This grill is inexpensive, much better than I expected for my money. We just purchased a home and my mother gave us some money for a house warming gift... I wanted a grill so I bought this one, and totally LOVE it!! I have cooked on it every day [weather permitting] since buying it, I tell everyone I work with and all of our family and friends about it! :)
I only used it a few times. The grill has worked excellent. Took me a couple hours to assemble but I put the grill part on backwards and had to take it apart and put it back together.
For $150 this item is well worth it. It may not be top of the line, but it cooks a mean steak, sausage, burger, chicken, etc. 3 burners is more then enough for a typical user trying to feed 5-10 people. For a larger crowd BBQ invest in a 4 or 5 burner.
This grill is simple and easy to use. I took my time assembling this grill and it still took me less than two hours. The instructions are clear and step-by-step. The wheels work well making this grill easy to move around the patio. I got a red version of this grill. The finish seems tough and it's attractive. Regardless, I keep the grill covered. I dont know if it's my specifc grill or whether it's part of the design, but this grill doesn't reach high temperatures that I've seen in other grills in this price range. It cooks ok - but there's no quick sear for meats. I suspect it's the design because, most surprisingly, this grill doesn't seem to be designed to withstand high temperatures. When this grill gets as hot as it can get, some of the metal buckles. Most of the metal retursn to its original shape when it cools down, some hasn't. I dont expect this grill to last long.
We've had our grill now for a year. It looks good when visitors see it for their first time. However, it is a monster to clean. The grate uses wide strips instead of round ones and it gives food more room to stick. We can't explain why, but food takes longer to cook on this grill than our old one. May replace this grill soon.
