This gas grill was easy to set up & works great. It's good for basically anything you want to grill including steaks. The only problem I would say is that it does take quite some time to clean it after each use. My suggestion is to line the bottom with silver foil before each use so all you have to do is clean the racks after using.
We bought one to carry in the camper. While putting it together, the Thermometer snapped off, and when I called to register the product, I told them about it and they sent a replacement. I had it in 2 days. Great little grill, cooks great, was easy to put together and set up. When I wear this one out, I'll get another one!
I've bought this grill 3 times so far, and I'm about to buy another. The reason I keep replacing them is because I keep it outside, all the time. I replace them about every two or three years, so I've loved this grill for quite some time! It's exposed to every element: direct sun, rain, snow, hail. It takes a beating. It's great! Easy to put together, heats evenly too. The ingitor eventually dies, either it wears out, or in my case, gets cut by the landscapers weed wacker (told you it gets exposed to everything!) But from my experience the ignitor dies on big grills too. I've taken it camping, to cookouts as an extra grill, and use it all summer long. It's great when you just don't have the space for a large grill.
I just received my grill last week and so far I have used it twise..I am very happy with my purchase its small and easy to clean. Good for the park and the beach..I love this grill it works really well..ohh and I also purchase the hose (regulator) 4ft will do just fine to use it on a 20lbs propane tank will save you more money.
Purchased the same one 3 yrs ago. Used at least 3 times a week and took camping several times. Worked great untill the heat plate rotted out. Easy to assemble and cook on. Has a hotter side for meat and cooler side for vegtables. Great for apartment porch and small family. Always lit on 1 or 2 pushes of igniter. Would recomend to anyone for a small portable grill. Love the red color of my new one. Ordering an extra for when this one dies in 3 years. $10 a year on grills...cant go wrong. For the people who have trouble cooking on this...learn how to cook.
Had this grill for 3 yrs. now, still cooks good and even, but the electric igniter went kaput....so i use a utility lighter which is long and solves the problem..! Also removed the top rack because it wouldn't stay attached which was fine w/ me. This a great grill for 1-3 ppl has room 4 like 8 hamburgers or 12 full size chicken wings i do think the grill is 2 close 2 the burner as 1 reviewer stated! I also found that the Walmart Gas Tanks last longer then a similar discount store, why i don't know!
Working around a burn ban during a camp out, I picked this up so we could still cook out. I didn't realize the unit required assembly so that was a little curve-ball but had it assembled without any tools in the dark with minimal light within an hour and was cooking up some country ribs. One of the screws holes in the bottom base legs sets was stripped out and the thumb screw wouldn't affix. No big deal but wasn't perfect assembly. The unit is messy with greasy foods as one other reviewer stated grease runs down one of the legs. To work around this, I lined the bottom of mine with heavy duty aluminum foil underneath the burners and clean up was quick and easy at that point.
Looking for a gas grill for apartment since charcoal is not allowed and did not want to pay a lot. Found this grill online but after reading shipping damage reviews decided to get it from the store. Assembled in about 30-40 minutes and immediately fired it up. Good heat, light weight, quick cool down, and easy to light. Use the small camping propane tanks instead of the large one. So far I am happy with the $35 I paid for it.
First of all I already have a Weber Baby Q which I totally love. Anyhow, I have an upcoming party and needed a second grill to handle the 100+ guests I was expecting so I ordered this one due to the cheap cost. The first two times I used it were in medium winds and it took forever to heat up (30 minutes). Also, it never got hot enough due to air vents located on every side of the grill. I had to keep the gas on its highest setting and it still took almost 3 times as long as my Weber Baby Q to cook the same turkey patties. My Weber Baby Q only has two vents on each side so I figured I should do the same with this grill. Ordered some high temperature resistant Silicone adhesive tape from Amazon.com and used to with Aluminum foil to cover all the vents on the front and back of this grill. Now there are only 3 vents on each side that are open. BIG DIFFERENCE!!! This grill now heats up very fast and retains heat even on low setting. $35 bucks for the grill plus an addtional $12 for the tape makes this grill just as great as my Baby Q. It probably won't last as long due to the cheap metal, burner, etc but still an excellent deal for the money.
Bought this because it looked like my 10 year old Sunbeam grill. I put them side by side. The case metal is of a lower gauge, flimsy. The main grill grate is more like coat hanger wire. Thankfully, the old Sunbeam 1/4" stainless grill grate fit perfectly. Also, the heat shield over the burner is only 1/3 the size of the older Sunbeam model so grease is going to fill up the bottom. I cut a cookie sheet with metal shears to fit. The Sunbeam had a full length piano hinge holding the cover to the base. This one has two pins that don't align the two pieces so they fit. Amazing how far the quality of goods has dropped in just 10 years.
