I thought this was a funny lighthearted Disney movie, I was in tears after the first 15 mins. It is very deep and sad in the begginning but most children will not understand the beggining of the movie. The dogs were of course hilarious just be prepared for the real life experiences that occur in the movie.
This is one of the best Pixar movies. It kept everyone in my family, including my 2 year old daughter, entertained. This is a movie we can watch over and over.
My 13 year old son asked for this movie for a Christmas present. I couldn't get it in time anywhere else so I decided to go to Walmart.com and not only was it available but it would be shipped in time for Christmas! Good price and great service.
"Up" is the 10th movie from Pixar Animation Studios of Emeryville CA. It has a great story at its core of a man who, after losing his wife, thinks he missed out on his great adventure and sharing it with her. When the movie's over, he learns that he alreadly lived a great adventure with her and still has more to experience. This is the kind of movie that makes you laugh, cry and feel good when it's over. Although it was presented in 3D at the theaters, you don't miss it on DVD. When it comes to Pixar movies, it's never about the technology. It's always about the story. They have never lost sight of that and that's why they have never made a bad movie.
I saw the movie and loved it so decided to give it as gifts for my grandchildren. Hope they love it as well.
I've loved all the Pixar movies and Up is no exception. The intro is surprisingly poignant and the rest of the movie delivers with some good (clean) laughs and an adventure appropriate for all ages. The DVD did not work correctly with Apple's DVD Player software on my MacBook Pro. After I inserted the DVD, it did not play. I eventually figured out that I could play the move by manually selecting the title from the titles option in the menu, but that's not something a layman would probably figure out how to do. This is particularly ironic because Steve Jobs is associated with both Pixar and Apple.
this is one of my fav movie of all time. the other thing that i loved was the price i got it for. you cant go wrong with blu ray, dvd, and digital copy for 20.00. i give it 5 stars all the way great value walmart.
The movie is great and the quality is good. The complaint is that the second disc is only the digital copies. I does not seem that there are any extras on that disc, just on the first disc. If that is the case then the less expensive single version would have been just fine.
My family loved Up, but we were dissapointed in the extra feature. Thought we were getting another little movie, not just a 4 minute clip. Definitely not worth the extra 5 bucks we paid for it.
It's probably not Walmart's fault, but my shipment got missent. So, instead of getting it on Dec. 4th, I'm still waiting. Overall, I saw this movie in the theaters, and it's a great movie. I think it'll be worth the wait until it gets to my house. Hopefully, this doesn't happen to me again in the future.
