I was so glad we bought this charger/battery pack for my son's v-smile. He had it only a couple of days and only played it a couple of hours at max when the batteries that came with it went dead. I could see spending a lot of money on batteries if we didn't have this. We have only had it for about a week and so I don't know how long it will last.
I read some of the reviews and almost decided NOT to buy it--I am glad I did though. I have had no problems and in actuality I love it because it charges quickly and saves me from buying tons of batteries. It does like to be lined up in order to work, but with the enclosed adaptive back for the battery compartment it fits on well and easily.
This product is a MUST if your child owns the vtech vsmile. This rechargable battery lasts a long time and is so convenient. In the long run, it saves you money. My son wore out the standard battery in 2 days. With this battery, we can go for weeks on end.
A must have if you have V-Smile Pocket... no more buying batteries for it! A definite plus. If you have the older model that doesn't match the back, just put your old back back on after you put in the battery pack. It's a little tricky, but it can be done. I did, and don't regret it.
i bought this for my sons vsmile pocket and bought my niece one from two different walmart store and it only works on one system.i looked over all the numbers inside the battery compartment and found that vt8326 it worked on(cross in middle of battery compartment)and vt9246 which has a fixed piece in battery compartment ex. ---------I----- it does not work on so be careful.hopefully this helps you out and saves some hassle
The installation of the battery pack into the V Smile Pocket was not clearly defined. After contacting VTech with no helpful advice, I began searching the web for answers. Here's the scoop...If you have the old version of the V Smile Pocket with the blue knobs as pictured on the packaging of the Pocket Charger the instructions work perfectly. However, if you have the new version with the orange knobs, the instructions are not correct. The Pocket Charger comes with a new battery cover. DO NOT use the new cover if you have the new version of the V Smile Pocket with the orange knobs. Simply insert the new battery pack and put your old cover back on. If you try to use the new battery cover it will not fit.
I think this product was worth the money. The V Smile was eating up batteries like crazy, now I can recharge it without a problem. Much cheaper than constantly buying batteries! The only problem that I found is that I must have a different model of v Smile. The charger comes with a replacement battery cover, but it didn't fit the one that we have. I had to use the original battery cover that came with the game unit. Even though I didn't use a piece, it was still very worth the money for the recharger and rechargeable battery pack!
I bought this because I got tired of contantly replacing the batteries in my daughters handheld vtech. And it is serving its purpose. The charge is bigger and bulkier than I expected, but I didn't quite get that it was a charging stand that is meant to not be mobile. But it works and I have no complaints.
After a weeks wait and almost as long at the pick up counter; It does not work with the CYBER-Pocket (New version). It would have been nice to have this information posted by Walmart! Please do not waste your time on this unless you have an older model.
I purchased a v.smile pocket from walmart on black friday for my 3-year-old son's christmas gift. (which he loves) I ordered the charger from the website. When he opened both gifts on christmas morning I tried to install the battery pack into the game but it would not fit. The battery section in our game does not screw on and there is a solid cross section which prevents the battery back from fitting onto it. I had to return it. We currently replace the batteries every other day.
