Did a ton of research on this product, I was looking for a wet/dry vac that didn't make a lot of noise. Read reviews at many other retailers and decided to go with this unit. Now I know that one persons quiet is anothers loud. But compared to all other units I've used this is quiet. Very good suction, lots of attachments, very good buy. However Fedex is another story. I purchased for delivery so I wouldn't have to haul this up the stairs to my apt. Fedex del to rental office and never came to my apartment, so I still ended up having to carry it up the stairs, UPS and USPS always deliver to my door.
Good suction, and very compact. The Top part of canister has very nice locking clamps (not cheap like most I've owned) that make it easier to empty dirt. The tools are very nice (not cheap like most). The tool caddy is what sold this one for me. For such a small vacuum, having a tool caddy that fits ALL the tools is awesome. You have to have a little shrewdness to fit them all, but it can be done, and that is really nice for storage. The wrap around feature for storing the hose is really cool too. The instructions were a little confusing on how to place the hooks for the hose storage, but someone one with common sense can figure it out. The retracting cord is a nice feature, I just hope it lasts. That seems to be the only feature that seems a bit frail. It is about as loud as most other wet/dry vacuums. But is small enough and versatile enough that we may use this for basic household cleaning as well as the mudroom it was bought for. The blue is nice too. One sharp little vac.
product is good. would be better if have filter, blower and drain functions
i like this little shop vac. its easy to move and has enough power to handle most jobs. my 1 knock against it, is that the hose holders fall off way too easily. i might resort to some hot glue on those. i got it on sale and for the price, im happy with it. good value
When priced right, ($49.00 3 year protection-plan/$7.00), this is the best 'Vacuum Cleaner Replacement' I could find anywhere. It's sturdier than most of the 'Regular Vacuum Cleaners' out there, with less totally 'Self-Destructible Parts'. The included accessories help this 'Shop-Vacuum Cleaner' to clean most anything one would need to clean in the home, (plus other attachments can be used as well). It does Not have a 'Blower Feature', so it does not expel as much dust as those types do, (which is important for allergic people such as myself). At the time of purchase this 'Shop-Vacuum Cleaner' was doubly priced elsewhere, (as it is here currently, when I'm posting my review). At that doubled price, ($99.00 ), I'd have purchased something else.
This vac has good suction and is sill quite enough to use indoors. Does not tip over like other shop vacs I have used. con: the extension tubes are a bit rickety. I would rig up a single piece of PVC if I did not move so much.
Got this for rabbit cleanup ie: hay %26 poops %26 hair that clog a normal vacuum. The suction power is great!! The tube is big enough that it doesn't really clog. The rectangle shaped floor attachment may do great on hard floors but is junk for carpet; continuously flips up instead of laying on floor to actually suck stuff up. The hose “rack” definitely leaves something to be desired as everytime you take the hose off or try to put it on, the rack pieces fall out of the holes %26 the hose doesn't stay down. Overall it does what I need it to but could definitely be improved.
If you are looking for a small shop vac this is NOT it. Works fine for maintenance cleanup of loose light debris, but nothing needing a little more suction. It doesn't basically. So Tile floors, wood floors, linoleum and indoor/outdoor carpet. Forget pet hair. pile carpet. Heavier cleanups. My regular vac has more suction than this. And the cord will NOT wind back in... so that feature is pointless. I did not even pull the cord out all the way. Instructions missing on hose clamp installation so good luck with that. Falls off easily. The length of the combined 3 hose attachments for vacuuming is too short and I am only 5'3". Front wheels so small they will get hung up on almost everything. They should be same size as rear wheels which are not stable but wobble... I used this once. Not impressed. So much potential in this design too. Had high hopes. Could be made soooo much better very easily.
This vacuum is terrible! Even though The price was fantastic! That's why I bought it ! I have always had craftsman and rigid vacs the same size and power. This vacuum is extremely heavy for its size and has half the power of anything I have ever owned !! The only thing good is it's more quiet then any other vac I have owned. The automatic winder never worked from day one. Hate this vacuum and will be buying a small rigid portable from Home Depot !
Poor suction. I expected more from a 5 hp shop/vac.
