I used this canopy on a very hot day - the lining for sun protection works like a charm. I was much cooler than others using similar canopies but without the sun guard lining. It really worked! Also, there was a 10 minute period of heavy rain along with a couple of brief light showers. Not a drop of rain came through! The heavy rain just ran off the corners beautifully. I would highly recommend this canopy, and would never buy one without the sun protection lining if you live in a hot climate. It was pretty easy to set up - you definitely should have 2 people though to make it super easy. The first time it takes a bit just to familiarize yourself with how to do it and the 2nd time is a snap. The entire thing folds down to about 5ft x 8 inches, and has a cover with wheels on it - very convenient. I used this a cover for an outdoor craft fair on a very hot day. It really surpassed my expectations.
I bought this canopy to take to the beach to keep my husband out of the sun because he has had skin cancer. Before we went, we practiced setting it up to see how hard it would be. It was simple, we decided to leave the canopy on it and fold it up. It worked perfect, we wheeled to the beach, had it set up in like three minutes. The stakes kept it from blowing over. I would definately recommend.
This pop-up canopy is a 12'x12' square with shade of a 10'x10'. So if you are debating between the 10x10 or the 12x12 canopy, I think that the 12x12 is the best deal. It gives you a little bit more shade. Also, it is very easy to assemble the top. It just velcroes on and then you just leave it on and fold it back in together to put it back in its bag. That way you don't have to put to top on every time. And finally, this canopy does come with wheels so you can just roll it around instead of lifting it up. We just love it!
I bought this to replace an old EZ-up that was aging. First thing I noticed when I picked this up at the Site to Store. was that it is 5 FEET LONG closed up. The base is 12X12. This is NOT mentioned in the online ad. I assumed it would be 10X10 at the base. If have the space to transport it, I'd recommed it. It does provide plenty of shade for 4-6 people.
I've only used the canopy once after purchasing a few weeks ago. It was easy to put up. This is what I was hoping for. I like that it has the pins to pull in/out for raising the legs. My previous canopy had buttons to push in and they were sometimes difficult to use after they had gotten wet and rusted the buttons a little. The lining on the inside of the cover helped with the heat. I like this one so far. It seems to be pretty durable.
These are purchased and used by several different people for events within our department. They are easy to set up and provide instant shade. You really have to watch them on a windy day or they will take flight, but anything like this will. I have seen some canopies out on the market with wind vents...but can't say for sure if it really makes a difference for the higher price. The legs do need to cross over each other when you set them up side by side with canopies touching, but we have not found that to be that big of a problem. We purchase several of these a year, price is reasonable. Most issues are caused by user error forcing it closed – if you need force your doing it wrong. It's easy to close when it's done correctly.
Provided great shade for our party. Was larger than I had expected and definatley needed two people to assist with set up. Found directions limited in their material and had to figure it out for myself through trial and error. Put silicone on the legs to assist with opening and closing. Found that paint began to peel as I opened and closed the unit. Great for the long haul like camping where it will be in use for several days, but nothing I'd take for a quick set up at the beach.
So far not impressed hard to get set up and take down, frame is very flimsy and bends too easy, have used twice and both times it fell over stakes don't hold had to get rope and tie it down then leg bent. We'll see if it holds up or not.
first day we set it up and tried to put it back together the medal bars broke off. it looked and sounded very easy, but it broke too easy as well.
Provides good amount of shade. Frame was quickly destroyed when blown over by a gust of wind even though canopy was staked down with the stakes provided. Storage bag ripped on first outing under normal usage.
