I love the smell of this! It's a gentle baby powder smell that isn't overpowering. I have used it on small wounds, a sweat rash, popped pimples, fingernails, eyebrows and eyelashes so they grow supple and strong, on my bare feet to stop sandals from rubbing and I've even brought back to life an old leather handbag that now looks like new! It's wonderful stuff!
My mom used this on me (50+) and my brother. We NEVER had diaper rashes. I used this on my son (30) and nieces (29 & 31) and all their children and they NEVER had diaper rashes. I do daycare in my home and use this on ALL of my babies and none of them has ever had diaper rashes. I don't buy that expensive goop that you have to chisel off their butts. I use Vaseline EVERY diaper change. Just a thin coating and baby will be RASH FREE and soft. Nothing works better. My son also has eczema and this is the BEST for his dry, irritated skin. I have tried numerous over the counter and prescription lotions and ointments and body washes but this works the best. I use it for so many other things. I have a jar in every bathroom and tubes in the car, my purse, and of course, the diaper bag!
this is an old love, been using this for forever and been using it for everything. it's like a cure for every illness tbh. love the consistency and the best thing is that it LASTS. we always have one around in every room because of how amazing this product is
My son is now 7. His skin is very sensitive. I've been using it on him since he was a baby. The scent is sweet & subtle. I suffer from migraines & smell is a trigger & this is not strong by any means. It reminds me of Baby Powder which I did not use on my son because I didn't want it in his lungs. This was a great substitute and still. My husband & I also use it on ourselves. I opted for this over my perfumes for several years.
I started using this product for the past 2 years,at the first time i used it to my baby and i observed that her skin looks great this impressed me to try apply it to my face because i have sensitive skin that react to every product i use but after applying it into my face it works very well and my hands was also dry but after using this product they are fine, even my husband do apply it and he recommended positive.I would like to encourage my fellows especially those with problematic /sensitive skin to apply this product since it doesn't contains any harmful element that may destroy our skin.Congrats to Vaseline producers.I'm from Tanzania.
Out of the stack of different expensive ointments I tried when my son developed a rash from diarrhea this was the only one that healed him. I was desperately searching for a solution and it was right under my nose. Due to the cold weather in Minnesota I notice that Vaseline runs out frquently at our local Targets. I do love the tube version but my only complaint is I would love if it could be in a bigger tube as well. One for home and one for on the go. I do not have issues with cross contamination nor any messy diaper changes with vaseline as I have always used a clean qtip with ointments in the diaper area. (No double dipping) I have also used this on my sons cheeks as he tends to get red and develop some broken skin with the cold temperatures. The Vaseline has been a life saver in bringing results on healing and moisturizing for baby and adults. I now use it for any cuts my 8 year old daughter or I develop as it literally heals quicker. Many uses and it is easy to lather on as it is very silky soft .
This 'baby' version is NOT the original Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. The front of the label does not indicate this has a very strong baby powder scent. Avoid this is you are sensitive to odors. I would not recommend this product but would recommend original Vaseline Petroleum Jelly
I've been using original Vaseline for decades, mainly on my lips. Yesterday I purchased a new tub which says "baby" and contains fragrance. Yuck!!! Why would Vaseline ruin a perfectly good product by scenting it? I *did* look for the original prior to purchasing this one, but the store only offered this one. I'm tossing the entire 13 oz. tub in the trash, since I don't need perfumed lips!! I will look in other stores and hopefully find the old, familiar product. Very disappointed.
Be aware this product has an extremely strong sweet smell and would be unsuitable for anyone who has sensitivities to perfumes. I purchased this for dry skin after using original vaseline which worked very well for my skin condition after trying many many other skin products. I was unaware this product was so highly scented and didn't consider it would be due to it being marketed as a healing baby product. I'm not sure how good this product would be for a baby. 🤷🏼♀️ Stick with Original Vaseline
This product is labeled as "hypoallergenic". I bought some and didn't realize until I applied some that it contains fragrance. I can't think of anything less hypoallergenic for me than added perfume. In the fine print under inert ingredients it lists fragrance but the presence of added fragrance should be clearly on the front label. Avoid this product if you have allergies to perfume as I do.
