THIS BLANKET IS WARM, SOFT AND LIGHTWEIGHT. NO HEAVY BLANKET NEEDED. I HAVE USED THIS TYPE FOR YEARS WITH MUCH SATISFACTION. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE!
My kids and I love these blankets! They are very warm and keep getting softer and softer with every wash. We have them on all of our beds in the winter time for plenty of added warmth (although we live in Minnesota, in warmer areas they might be too warm), and my children absolutely love snuggling up with them for everyday purposes as well. They hold up well and are a good value for the price. My only complaint is that the queen size is much too wide; I would recommend getting the full size and trying it to make sure it fits before you wash it.
I have been looking for this blanket for a very long time and was very happy when I found it. Great price and the softest blanket I own.
This material is fantastic. Warm and cozy for the winter and cool and soft for the summer. Not sure how this works, but this blanket is for everyone. The only hard thing is to pick just one color. My kids have twin size beds but I bought the full size for more coverage and tucking in. Go get one, right now!!!
I have always used vellux blankets they truly do keep you warm on those cold nights i would highly recommend this product
My grandmother used to use these, and I had an old one that I purchased from Wal Mart over 10 years ago that just finally wore out (after 10 years of constant use). I love these blankets! They're extremely light in terms of weight, yet very warm and soft. Perfect for me on my bed full-time, but also a great closet-keeper to have on hand for guests or just snuggling up on the sofa.
These blankets were lightweight, as I had hoped, and they look pretty, but they aren't soft at all. They feel rather prickly and are definitely not something you can cuddle up under. I'm disappointed.
when you first open it, there is a very strong chemical smell and it is so fluffy. So it must be washed. Finishing is not so great since it is only finished from two sides and the other two sides are not tailored. overall... for the price it is acceptable
I paid around $25 for this blanket, and considering it is just a lightweight blanket I thought this was a little much. I was expecting nice quality so I overlooked the price...I couldn't have been more wrong. Right out of the package the blanket had a very strong chemical/plastic smell. I unfolded the blanket and noticed there was a brown discoloration stain along the fold. I also noticed the hem at the top of the blanket wasn't sewn properly and part of the unfinished edge was sticking out. The worst part is the Vellux didn't have the soft feel that you would expect ( I have had Vellux before) - it was sort of cheap and stiff. This blanket was such poor quality it was pitiful!
worst blanket i've ever bought. the other vellux blankets I have are thick and soft this one is so thin you can see through it and its rough to the touch. I gave it to the dogs. it's not there favorite either.
