This is a nice, durable basket that I fixed onto the back of a small mobility scooter. It was perfect.
Large and well made. Exactly what I was looking for.
The basket is much bigger than I expected. I can fit 3 full bags of produce in it. I attached it with a bunch of black plastic locking ties like others have suggested and it stays in place just fine. The 2 tabs at the bottom sort of stabilize it but not much. You need something else in addition.
I read that there was no way to attach this basket, and I kind of was just taking a chance with ordering it.. I also ordered the Huffy Ladies Bike with a back rack on it. Luckily!! It works pretty well with the back rack. The rack thingy has a lever/latch thing that secures in the basket. And the basket has two little latches on the bottom to attach to the rack.. So it's fairly secure, but still not quite the best attachment. One of my friends commented that they didn't like how the basket attached because it doesnt allow you to swing your leg over the back of the bike. Overall it works for my needs, putting bags and whatever else I need to carry in the back without tumbling off. =)
Made well and very sturdy I love it and even my small dog can go for a ride in it.
Just the write size for my laptop bag when I'm riding my bike to school, and just the right size for two bags of groceries when I go to the grocery store. Pricey for the physical product itself, but the value is in the convenience; also, I couldn't find a bike basket similar to this anywhere else.
The basket is a decent size for carrying groceries, etc. The two hooks at the bottom aren't hooks at all but are more like large tabs. You can't secure the basket to your bike with the included hardware (or lack of hardware.) What I did was fasten the basket to my rear rare with a bunch of plastic zip ties and I secured the basket to my bike with my snowboarding wire lock.
I returned this after opening it at store. This seems to require a "universal" rack and as there was NO information whasoever as to how it mounts, I just said forget it. If I had known I would have got it all. Looking at it , it was good sized and has a small wire loop on the underside that will most likely help keep it attached to a universal bracket, but you may want to bungie it as well. Hope this helps anyone interested.
It is very flimsy and when it is on the bike's nut and bolt if the bike bumps or shakes it will tear the wire. I had to rig it up on my front handle bars to make it work.
This was great for bringing home a bag of apples, but the minute I put a full two bags of groceries in it, the bottom broke clean off. Glad it wasn't my textbooks! Plus, it does not include something to connect the basket to your bike. Waste of money.
