This is an upgrade from an LG Optimus which has a 4gb internal memory so I'm already used to not being able to download a lot of apps so the 8gb of space instagram big deal. The battery life is absolutely horrible tho! Fast processor and newest Android are pluses.

I bought this after being with another carrier on a post paid account with a main well known flagship brand phone but their service (signal) was no very good, at best in most areas I go, so, I ditched them and bought this as a pre-paid device on VZW network and I'll say it's on OK phone. I do love the 5" HD 720p screen and it is plenty nice for everyday use and viewing HD you-tube videos and webpages, etc... It has 16GB internal storage but with the pre-installed OS and bloatware it gives you around 9GB of actual user storage space... which is plenty for my needs. I do have a micro SD 8GB card installed and use it for my pictures and videos to be stored along with various other apps which can be moved. The camera is not great but is very good for pictures i have taken. 8MP front and a pretty good 5mp front facing. It does have an BSI sensor which bring in more light for lower light pictures. While it has a Qualcomm 210 quad core processor, (1.1 GHz QUALCOMM MSM8909) it is really a little under-powered for this device but for everyday use it is plenty. Not for gaming intense apps or heavy multi talking but again, plenty for everyday use with social media and web page browsing ect... Also like the 1.5gb of RAM it has which really helps with the device speed but again, it's no speed racer. I've had it a couple weeks now with HEAVY use every day and I have had no big issues and now have found out it WILL be receiving the Marsh-mellow update in Q2 2016 so that's a plus as it is currently running Android ver 5.1 with HTC Sense ver. 7. Over all its not a bad phone for the price, IMO. do recommend it as a mid tier/level device.

freezing issues as well.

I purchased this phone about 8 months ago and I love the look of this phone and the size is perfect. Takes decent pictures and videos but the audio quality is the worst. Speakerphone quality is just horrible . I also noticed that the aux port seems to not work very well either. I also noticed the screen gets frozen and takes awhile for the keyboard to show the letters you just typed. It is frustrating. It does keep the charge for a good amount of time as long as you aren't using the apps a lot. Other than that I would have to charge it about twice a day. It does have a good amount of storage space. Again , the sound/audio quality is not good at all, so if you like to use the speakerphone or like to listen to music it will irritate you.

I bought this phone not even 6 months ago. I take very goof care of my phones. I loved this phone, it took great photos, had great storage, and was over all a goI'd phone. It also had a great battery life. All these could not make up for the simple fact that my phone fried itself. It will no longer turn on, and won't even charge. Upon checking to see if there was a way to fix it I found multiple complaints about the mother board frying itself. I talk to a walmart employee, and he's had a lot of people bring them back. It's a waste of $150, and I'm disappointed that I had to go and spend money I didn't have to buy a new phone. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. Please save your money and go for a different phone. I got the Samsung Galaxy S4 and absolutely love it. I've had no problem with it.

The battery doesn't stay charged very long at all. The speakers crackle and stop working. For the price of this cell phone I expected a lot more from this phone. I wouldn't buy this phone again. The camera takes really good pictures.

Dumbest smart phone
(1)
Reviewed in the USA on 2016-08-01T17:00:00

The Desire, of which I had 2, was the dumbest smartphone ever. I had the 526 and then after a week returned it for the 626 which is supposedly the better version. It's only a little less dumb than the 526. No multitasking, constant system notifications, every 5 minutes while using WiFi it will tell you it's connected and then force you to reload whatever it is you were doing. Cannot use WiFi or data while on a call, and it tells you after EVERY call. Barely loaded Facebook on 4G full bars. Barely loaded Facebook on WiFi. Constant issues. 2 months later it was simply another dumb phone that couldn't do anything. Both the 526 and 626 desire are terrible phones. I went back to the Galaxy S4, I suggest you do the same.
