Bought it for my father. He likes it. The numbers are larger and easier to read than his last flip phone.
Bought for my Dad who can't use smartphone. Verizon service actually works, this is 4g LTE so it shouldn't be retired tech for at least another 5 years, also allows wifi calling. Dad now has a cell phone that is easy to use and actually make and receive calls. Note: You have to spend $50 with Verizon or be with them for a year before they will unlock this phone.
Haven't activated for phone use. Only Email, using local network. Requires a different plan, making my other phone obsolete. Battery life leaves a lot to be desired.
Only a four due to a couple of minor issues. slippery as a freshly caught trout. I ended up buy some dragon tape decals that I'll put on edges and back. The next issue is I use the standard text it takes way too long for it to go to the next space. You need to count one one one thousand two one thousand than you can press the next letter other wise it just goes through the three letters and number of the last entry. The plus is for a flip phone it has data capabilities. Now if you own an older flip phone and do not use the cloud you are told you cannot transfer your calling list or photos. Wrong! just use the Bluetooth on each and it is simple to transfer and than download them to the new phone. I really don't need a smartphone. But having data capabilities and for the same $ 30 plus tax for 500mb data. $35 plus tax for 3GB. Anyway I really enjoy Verizon and their customer service Live messaging Reps are the best means to solve issues.
I didn't use the phone but when opened and saw how lightweight plastic it was made of,coming from asamsung flip phone i wasnt ready to pay $30 for it, but it may bea good phone.
I couldn't get the phone activated. I tried doing it online and by phone. The phone maybe okay but if I can't get it to work without a trip to the Verizon store and change of number, I'll give it 1 star.
The single star is not for the Verizon phone, which is a very good phone if you need the particular features it has -- keypad that you can touch, talking Caller ID, voice assistance for other features. I was buying it for a blind man, so those features are excellent. The single star is for Walmart's service. When the phone was sold to me, it was never unlocked, which means that Verizon is unable to activate it. One gathers that Walmart isn't really interested in selling the item. I will be returning the phone to Walmart. I have already made arrangements to get this same model through another retailer.
Functionality of the phone met my needs. However, the back cover is a thin, brittle plastic that cracked near the charger port within 5 months of purchase. Because of this quality issue I would not purchase the phone again.
Don't buy this!I've been to Walmart once and to Verizon twice. Don't waste your time or money!First it didn't have a SIM CARDwhatever that is)Then, after I was told it was working (by VERIZON) then it didn't have a card to make it work. I couldn't ev en make a call!
