I bought this phone over 3 years ago and love it, especially the REAL keyboard. I've had no problems whatsoever. It is so simple to use and reliable and always has signal (my husband's smartphone frequently drops calls and mine never does). It fits my needs perfectly.
I've had this phone since December, (about 6 months now), and I love it! It's a great feature phone. The touch screen is pretty good, camera takes decent pictures and the keyboard is really easy to text on and is very responsive. People complain about "internal memory problems"...which can EASILY be fixed by doing a software update on your phone. There are videos of it on YouTube. As long as you keep your software up to date, you'll be very happy with this device! I definitely recommend it to someone on a budget who wants something more than a boring flip phone!
I was hesitant to get this phone as the site kept saying it doesn't work in your area. IT does work in my area with great reception. Love the touch screen and slide out qwerty keyboard. For the Monthly prepaid this is an excellent phone. The only problem is downloading wallpapers, you can't. But using verizon pix service you can send pictures to your phone and save to use as wallpapers. All and all a great phone. If had to would purchase again. It is capable of the micro sd card (doesn't come with one). Also, to learn more of the phone download user manual online!!
its a great phone overall really, and i especially love the small size of it compared to the massive phones out today. i think the keyboard is nice too. good touchscreen and keypad. good features&easy to use. low maitenence and great price. cute and the red is nice.
I just got this phone yesterday & so far i like it. Its just a cool phone to have. It plays youtube videos, and the internet is fast(ish). The touch screen has a nice feel, the keyboard it so easy to use it fits perfectly in your hands, you can download music to the phone. Even though i've had the phone for only a day, i have experience one problem. I was sending a text & the phone just shut off and restarted itself. Also, the camera is pretty good, you can record videos..... The lg extravert is overall a great buy!
I have had this phone for about 3 weeks. I love it. the bluetooth works wonders with my car. I just get in and say who I want to talk to. It also plays my music from the phone over my speakers without any wires. Love that feature. The camaras not that good. but no problem using the text. the only thing I wish it had is talk to text. but that's what I get for going with a basic phone.
So, this phone doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, but it has been a decent phone for the last two years. I've always kept this phone in a case, because it feels too slippery without one, and it's extremely sturdy. I've dropped it a few times (usually just falling off my lap or something like that), but it doesn't have a ding on it. I also use it with a screen protector. Early on there were some issues with picture messages not being the right size, but I think that was a Verizon issue that was fixed... Other than that, I've really had no significant issues with the phone. I've used it mainly for texting, talking, as a calendar, and as an alarm clock, and it's served me very well. Only recently have I had issues with the touchscreen not registering when I press something and the "m" key on the keyboard either not working or typing too many "m"s at once. But that's only in the last couple of months. The battery life also used to be about a week. Now it's down to 2-3 days with moderate use, but that's expected from an old phone, anyway. If you're looking for a decent, no-frills phone, then this is a great choice.
If you are looking for a simple phone for a child, elder, or someone who just wants a simple phone, then this phone MAY work, though there are definitely better options out there that are as cheap. The keyboard isn't that good, and the touch screen is essentially useless. The camera is also really bad compared to a lot of other non-smartphones. It will also turn on by itself if in a pocket, and will also activate "voice control" by itself as well. Fortunately, I recently upgraded, but a year and a half with this phone was very irkish to say the least. My older flip phone seemed to work better than this. (Note: Not all LG phones are like this from what I have heard, and they are still a good company)
The "touch" scroll feature is so frustrating, I literally HATE this phone. When texting, if a phone call comes in, the text is lost if call is answered. When texting, if a picture message comes in, the ability to receive the photo must be cancelled or you have to stop texting until the file send has been completed. You can forget seeing a picture and reading the message sent with the photo. Hitting the keys with the exact amount of pressure is necessary or keystroke is repeated numerous times OR not recognized at all. This is the most frustrating phone I have ever owned. The querty keyboard is a nice feature. The voice feature may as well not exist - it rarely understands the name I say when searching for a contact to dial. I will be very happy to never have to use this phone again.
I purchased this phone Feb. 27, 2012. That being said I've had it replaced twice! Battery, phone, charger.....TWICE!!! It charged fine initially, (within the 14 days that you have to return it) than it basically sucked the last bar out and shut off. And would not turn back on. And it slips out of your hands when you slide it open and the camera doesn't take even mediocre pictures. I babysit for my grandkids and need a working phone, thank God I kept my old enV2. Never again!
