Such an amazing phone! I love love love it! I had a moto g4 play since feb 2016 and it was a great phone. My husband really wanted me to get the $35 moto g5 go from walmart but I wanted a slightly nicer one for good pics of the family and for my business. I am so happy with this phone so far. Granted its only been 5 days I am very happy with it, the only thing I dislike is the fact that I cannot get Etsy to make its unique sound that it used to make when I got a shop review etc from my shop/
Bought this to replace the ZTE phone I'd acquired when I last upgraded my Prepaid account, hated that phone. I'd been wanting another Samsung instead. This one fills the bill nicely.
BEST phone for the money ever !!!
Very nice phone, but the voice mail app doesn't work. I can still get my email by dialing *86, but the app that comes with the phone says it is not supported by this device. The memo app that came with my Galaxy S7 is missing on this phone, but no big deal. It is nearly identical to the phone that I paid $800 at Verizon store.
Was recieved earlier than expected. Was very happy.
For the price and c/net reviewing this product which gave it a positive rating, clearly an excellent phone for price and features.
Note: my first smart phone. BAD initial experience, but... Full story: Have an account with Verizon currently. Bought this phone. Tried to get Verizon to move my existing number to this new phone. No exaggeration - more than ten hours on Chat with Verizon (several sessions). THEY couldn't figure it out, ***I*** figured out a way for them to do it. $40 (and 10 hours) later and the phone STILL will not activate. I have to take it to a Samsung repair shop. - On the Good Side: repaired under warranty, took less than two hours, no cost to me. The phone activates. Some hiccups in activation which I eventually manage to work out. Now the phone is working as intended. Pro: - latest version of Android Cons: - the informative "icons" at the top of the screen are WAY, WAY too small, and there is apparently no way to enlarge them - the endless, annoying spam notifications (yeah, I'm working on getting rid of them, but why does Verizon do such a thing to me, the customer?) - for some reason, sometimes sound quality is terrible (that is: voice that I hear "breaks up"). Everyone seems to hear me fine. - NOT glove-friendly - screen "goes dark" during calls, which is inconvenient when you call businesses with automated response (you know, "Hit 1 to do this, hit 2 to do this") - - - what happens is the screen goes dark after 30 sec, and so you have to keep hitting the power key and then try to hit the proper phone key before the automated system kicks you out - - - there is NO setting that allows you to adjust how long the screen stays "on" during a phone call. The screen ALWAYS goes off after 30 sec during a phone call, no matter what other settings you have made. Notes: - I don't care about camera. I have a decent digital camera when I need to take decent-quality photos. Yeah, it'd be nice if this did both, but it's a lot cheaper for camera phone than it is for phone that also performs like a decent camera. - I don't care about "apps" and "games" in general. I want a phone that also runs a very specific (and small) set of Android apps, and it doesn't need speedy performance to run the required apps. Setting up - UGH! But OK now that it's working
Great price for phone was easy to set up
its not a best phone the batter dies quickly. and i could only download 3 apps and it was full. I did not like it at all goy a new phone with in a week
I order the phone to replace another verizon phone I had. It said 2 day delivery. I ordered it on Wednesday night. And didnt receive it until the following Tuesday. I went to put my sims card in from the phone I was replacing, and my sims card was too small and of course it was my luck, the samsung galaxy a01 did not come with a sims card so i can't use the new phone until i can afford the bigger sims card.
