I love the phone because if the screen size and keypad
The Intensity III is a great phone for someone who doesn't need a smartphone or want the data charges that go along with it. The phone comes with an Opera web browser which works well and a built-in music player, but it really shines with its messaging features. The full 4-row QWERTY keypad is great, although the keys are a little on the flat side and may take some getting used to. The camera has been bumped up to a 2.0 megapixel and now includes video recording. The body of the phone is a hard rubberized material making it easy to grip, and is supposedly heat, drop, shock and dust resistant - however not water resistant. Having owned the previous models in the Intensity series, I can say that this is the best of the batch so far, proving that the third time is indeed the charm.

I have had the Intensity III for about 2 years now. I use it mostly for making phone calls. The texting that I do has been smooth and easy. The only thing that I have done was to purchase and install the larger capacity battery and battery cover to make sure I have enough capacity when I'm out in the field. The larger back does make the phone less sleek but it still fits my pocket easily. I've had no problems with phone. If I wanted to do more with a cell phone I would switch to a smart phone.
this is a reliable reality based basic cell phone with convienience built in such as the fully functioning qwerty key board for texting and other comunication functions you realy need for this type of phone it is user friendly and convieniently sized for pocket or belt clip carrying has very good battery life and can deal with ruff conditions with ease a real winner for samsung as you can tell i realy have no complaint about this product.its the real deal
Needed to replace my old flip phone and thought I'd try slider. I told the salesman I needed a basic phone and she highly reccomended this one. After about 2 weeks i thought it was time to review. First of it does a good job of what its intended do calling and texting. Its the right size to slip into your pocket. The only downside the numbers and the keyboard are a lil on smallish side if you have big fingers. Other than that nice product.
Its great they added durability to this phone. It definitely takes the Intensity 2 and makes it a thing of the past along with all the problems that came with it. Great job.
I upgraded to this from the intensity II and I did not like this phone at all in comparison. The themes were bad, texting was more difficult...the only pros were that the camera was better quality and it was faster. But it doesn't look as nice. If you aren't going from the II to this then it will probably be a pretty decent phone. I just didn't like it in comparison to the other..didn't seem like a real upgrade.
Overall it is a good phone. Good reception and rugged design. But, for the middled aged whose eyes aren't as good as they used to be, the text is really small and not enough fonts to choose from. If the text input could be increased, then this would be a great phone.
purchased this clunker as a replacement for my straight talk SAMSUNG slider phone which has been discontinued , fortunately there was a VERIZON REP at my local wal-mart who activated the phone for me . upon arriving at home and attempting to use the phone i found there was no instruction book included .I figured out how to place a call only to be greeted by a shrill female voice informing me that the time available for the call was unlimited it does this each time one places a call very annoying ! there was however a booklet informing the customer how to purchase more time from VERIZON this jogged my memory as to why i dumped verizon years ago and I intend to do so again . i would assume that all verizon pre-pay phones feature the screeching female voice and unless you enjoy such things t would avoid all VERIZON pre -pay phones . at this point I am only out fifty dollars for the card i purchased LIVE AND LEARN
