My dog got to try the Vibrant Life Dental Suction Cactus, Medium. This is based on my opinion only. She absolutely loved it. She is a chewer so this didn't last long though. Nice thick material. Great at keeping her teeth clean. The pieces do come apart chewed on long enough. She doesn't eat them though. Just chews it up. Nice bright orange color. The suction did nothing for her as she just pulled it up and chewed it up. Definitely better for a smaller dog.
My dogs love this toy whether I am throwing it or have it suctioned to my tile floors. It is very well made and super thick which allows my dogs to gnaw on it without breaking it. I wasn't sure if they would play with it suctioned to the floor but they do! I think they love the challenge as well as the fact that it allows them to chew without it moving. Great concept!
I tried so hard to get a picture of my new vibrant life suction cactus but soon as I suctioned it to the floor it popped up and my boy took that as I need to attack this thing. He absolutely loves this cactus he won't give it back to me. He is even hiding it so I can't get it. This is his new favorite toy and it helps clean his teeth. This cactus is pretty tough because he is a powerful chewer.
Good way to keep your dog busy. I rub peanut butter on it and stick treats inside and the side of the cactus. My dogs for some reason where scared of it at first but quickly warmed up to it when they saw the treats. It's good for their teeth and can help fight boredom.
First off this is just so cute!!! I love cactus'!! I have a 7 month old corgis and he is quite destructive and will chew on anything!! Hr absolutely loves this as much as me!! It is a very jard/durable cheese toy but still soft!! Its not too hard that he can't chew on it and it poke his little gums. Hr has spent hours with this little cactus!! Itd aldi a descent size too! Our favorite new chew toy!!!
Definitely am interesting looking dog toy for sure. I mean I saw the pictures but was shocked when it arrived. You'll get a good laugh out of it for sure. My dogs don't seem interested unless there is a treat involved but I would recommend. Seems pretty durable so far and have no complaints.
My new pup really likes the dental suction cactus. I really like how it has the small gummy teeth down the middle part of the cactus. I feel that helps with keeping their teeth clean better. This is also really good toy for the biting stages. My little girl is 8 wks old and she like to bite down pretty good. This one keeps her occupied so she doesn't bit on me lol. It's seems to be very well made also. Kinda heavy for a toy of its size but not overbearing. Really nice toy. Puppy approved:)
Great idea to give dog a toy that cleans her gums and teeth at same time. No annoying squeak or noises come out. Self sticking onto a tile, granite or wide plank wood floor. By propping it up the dog gets a better grip between her paws The stubby rubber grips do not tear off and pose swallow hazard. Very firm and good quality..
I received the Vibrant Life Dental Suction Cactus, Medium for review. My two dogs showed little interest at first. I added peanut butter to the small opening on the top and at that point they both wanted it. Once the peanut butter was gone they were done. This Vibrant Life Dental Suction Cactus, Medium is actually a well constructed chew toy. It is quite sturdy with little nubs on it for the dental care. There is an opening, that I mentioned, in the top for treats. It suctioned to the floor pretty well which sort of confused my dogs but with a little effort they were able to release it. If you were to start a Puppy on a toy of this style it would probably work very well. Mine aren't puppies anymore. I would recommend this toy to a new puppy parent. It is safer for there teeth than bones, sticks or furniture and clothing.
When i got this unit, the first treat we tried to use was peanut butter as our boxer loves it. It was very difficult to get the 'treat' into the narrow, rectangular opening designed for reinforcement. We next tried to insert pieces of dog 'biscuit' into the opening to encourage the dog to use the 'toy', no luck. The real problem came when trying to clean the chew toy. We finally resorted to a small flat blade screwdriver and used it to clean residual peanut butter and biscuit from the unit along with hot water. My suggestion is that the manufacturer develop a treat that fits easily in the slot provided and is activated slowly by a combination of saliva and chewing action.
