I am so happy with this product. It has a large display to show both temp and relative humidity. It has a chart to reference the level of humidity (to dry, normal for everyday between 40-60 %RH) Great product - would recommend to all my friends!!!
I bought this Vicks humidity monitor from another vendor about 8 years ago due to medical need to maintain sufficient indoor humidity levels. Regarding how accurate the Vicks brand is: it is accurate within 3-5 points. Meaning - using the salt method of calibration (the Vicks model is not one that can be calibrated) - the Vicks humidity reading was 72% when the humidity was in fact 75%. Given the price of this hygrometer, the Vicks hygrometer is exceedingly well made and reliable. I've had occasion to test the Vicks against very high-end/high cost professional hygrometers and the Vicks has actually proved to be more accurate than some of the high priced professional models. I'm back on this site to buy a second one - not because my original Vicks has quit working, but, because I need to monitor another location. Also - the temperature reading is accurate as well.

Does what it says. Has helped so much with helping us determine what setting to put our dehumidifier at as well as monitoring other rooms to see if they may need to borrow the dehumidifier for a while. I would like to purchase more so i dont have to keep switching from room to room though as it takes a while to read.
Like this a lot. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is it needs to have a slight tilt and the display causes a reflection that makes it a little hard to read.
this is a cute little compact humidity/temp. monitor. I rated it 4 stars because I don't know how accurate it is. I'm hoping is really accurate, but I have no way of comparing. Be careful not to tip this device over because when it's sitting down it's okay but if you reach to move it, it could tip over easily. So far I'm satisfied with it. The price was really good for this. Also you remove the bottom base of it to gain access to the battery compartment.
Only bought as it was suggested on Vicks Heavy Duty 2 G Vaporizer we bought. It's ok. But temperatures on it don't seem to move much. There should be a mechanism for shut off and restart especially when you move it to another room and want to get the humidity level.
Got this a couple weeks before I wanted to buy a humidifier to establish a little base line info on my humidity level. This is a value priced instrument but it looks good and seems to work ok. I had a strong preference for a steaming humidifier so I ended up with a fairly expensive model with a hygrometer on it. The two hygrometer readings track within a per cent most of the time when I set the two fairly close to one another. I bought it to help me understand what was happening with the humidity level in my apartment and it has served its purpose at a very reasonable price.
Ordered this at the end of April 2020.....stopped registering correct temp AND humidity 2 weeks later ! 15.00 in the garbage. I dont have the packaging or it would go back
the device worked for 2 weeks and stopped being accurate. Despite using humidifier the monitor kept going down to 29.
