The first day of owning this unit, I couldn't get it to produce steam, even after adding a couple pinches of table salt. Left it on all night and by morning it started producing more steam. By late morning it was producing gobs of steam and hasn't stopped yet. I add about a gallon of water every 2 to 3 hours and rinse the black residue out every couple days. Happy with unit!
Description said huge night light. No light except the little green Vicks triangle On top. Very disappointed in that. After an hour can not smell the Vicks pads. 🤷🏻♀️
It works like a champ, but within 7 days after purchase it only works at half capacity. The 2 slots where you place the VapoPads no longer steams %26 therefore renders the VapoPads useless %26 a complete waste of money which you spent buying those VapoPads. Vicks VapoSteam Liquid isn't as effective or long lasting as KAZ Vaporizer Liquid used to be. The Vicks Watrless Vaporizer for VapoPads is a real let down as well.
It was literally yellow when it's supposed to be white looks like it was on the shelf for far to long but we were in desperate need we didn't ask for a refund we had sick kiddos
The humidifier puts out a mash amount of steam, which is great and beneficial. I've used the humidifier for less than approximately 5 days (on and off during the daytime). The cord was warm while using it the 2nd time. I watched it very closely. When it got warm, I would unplug the unit. The last day I used it and double-checked the cord, it had started to melt, and I could see that it had burned. I've used these humidifiers over the years, and this is the first time I've had this issue. Im glad that it was me that whatched this and not a young mother who would have plugged it in next to their infant child for the night. That could have ended very badly for someone. So, I bought and used the humidifier for a few days, and it's done.
We do like Vicks products so we bought two of this vaporizer for our newborn however with this specific item was different. It does work couple of times and then it seems like needing more salt, we added salt accordingly to the manufacture manual and started spitting or just not working, so if we added not salt it wouldn’t properly work, and some salt added it won’t work either. :/
Would not recommend this product to anyone unless someone can explain to me the black substance that comes out after each run. It turns the water darker and is that even safe to be vaporized for us to breathe in? I thought it would go away after a couple of runs but it doesn't seem to get any better. Stopped using it. Hopefully I can return it without the box.
i bought this brand new off the app but it was very onviously previously used. its diagusting. its covered in what appears to be vaseline. the box has definitely been previously opened and retaped i figured that out after pulling it out of the box and having greasy stuff all over my hands. im pretty livid tbat they would resell a used returned item and not check it?!? this is absolutelt disgusting

The water just sat in there. No humidfying at all . Also the product is more yellow then white which I would not have chosen if I had been aware of the true color.
