Nice starter package. The price and quality is perfect for a youth who just wants to try the violin.
This is a very nice starter set. Step by step guide with some visuals on the CD. We knew nothing about violins but are slowly learning with the materials in this package. The stand is much nicer than expected with pieces to help hold the small book it comes with or larger sheet music. The tuner was easy to use and the violin is beautiful. My 9yr old loves it and is learning how to play and care for her first instrument.
I purchased the violin for my Granddaughte, approximately 3 weeks ago. She taken a class in the 5th grade. Now a 7th grader, she consistently asked me to rent her one so she can continue playing. Well, for the price of this violin, I couldn't refused. She loves it and has taught herself new songs.
Bought this for my Granddaughter- she wants to play violin in school - we thought this was a good preview before they make a huge investment in a school instrument!
Purchased for my teenage daughter who has been playing in an orchestra for 5+ years. She provided the following review: "I think this violin is truly spectacular! I've been playing violin for a few years, but I'm so glad I got this kit. It included extra little things like strings, fine tuners, rosin, even a tuner! It also looks and plays beautifully. I recommend getting this violin kit."
Bought for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it! Very good choice for beginners has all the essentials in one package. So far seems to be holding up well, good sounds but again this is her first time playing. I would definitely recommend this one.
Came with everything pictured except the bridge. besides that a very nice violin. great starter package. Good tuner, sturdy case. collapse-able music stand and a good starter book.
We are returning it. Horse hair broke and became loose on bow within 1 week. The finish is so, so. I liked all the stuff that came with it made it seem to be a value. The music instructor told all the kids (5th graders) not to buy violines online...thought it might be a way for them to support the local music store...in this case it was true.
I had to purchase two of these and both were broken. The first one came with a broken bow, so I returned it and purchased another; the second one came with twisted strings that could not be untwisted. Neither came with rosin despite the box saying that it is included. Would not buy any of these products or recommend.
It looks great with all the things that come with it but it does not work. You can't lock it after it's tuned so it goes right back out of tune. Bow made no sound. We returned it. Instructions were written by a dummy and video awful as well. My child plays violin already but this product not worth the time or money.
