Detailed product description

VisiSolar Glasses are made in the USA by a Nasa Approved and Selected manufacturer. VisiSolar eclipse glasses are specifically designed glasses that are used to protect your eyes while observing a solar eclipse. During a solar eclipse, the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, which causes the sun to become partially or fully blocked. While it is safe to look at the sun when it is completely blocked by the moon, it can be dangerous to look at the partially blocked sun as the bright light can cause severe eye damage or even blindness. VisiSolar eclipse glasses are made with special filters that block out most of the harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation from the sun, allowing you to safely view the eclipse. They are designed to be worn over your eyes like regular glasses, and they should fit snugly to prevent any gaps where the sun's rays could sneak through. It's important to note that regular sunglasses, no matter how dark, are not safe to use for viewing a solar eclipse. Only use glasses specifically designed for eclipse viewing to protect your eyes. Set a good example: Wearing solar eclipse glasses sets a good example for others, especially children, who may be tempted to look directly at the sun without proper eye protection. By wearing the glasses yourself, you can encourage others to do the same and promote safe viewing habits. Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, casting a shadow on the Earth's surface. This phenomenon can be observed when the moon is in its new phase, and its path crosses the Earth's orbital plane. A solar eclipse can only occur during the daytime, and it typically lasts for a few minutes. There are three types of solar eclipses: total, partial, and annular. A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon completely covers the sun, causing a total blackout. This is a rare and spectacular event that can only be viewed from a specific region of the Earth, where the moon's shadow falls. A partial solar eclipse occurs when the moon only partially covers the sun, resulting in a crescent-shaped sun. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the moon is at its farthest distance from the Earth, making it appear smaller than the sun. As a result, the sun's outer edges appear as a ring of fire around the moon. Solar eclipses have been observed and documented for thousands of years. In ancient cultures, solar eclipses were often interpreted as a sign of impending doom or a message from the gods. Today, we understand the scientific basis of solar eclipses and use them as an opportunity to study the sun's corona, or outer atmosphere. To safely observe a solar eclipse, it is important to use solar eclipse glasses or other forms of eye protection. Looking directly at the sun during a solar eclipse can cause serious eye damage, including blindness. It is also important to be aware of the potential dangers associated with traveling to view a solar eclipse, such as traffic congestion and the risk of dehydration and heat exhaustion. Solar eclipses are a fascinating and awe-inspiring natural phenomenon that have been observed and studied for thousands of years. With proper eye protection and safety precautions, solar eclipses can be safely viewed and enjoyed by people around the world.

Protect your eyes from damage. Looking directly at the sun during a solar eclipse without proper eye protection can cause severe damage to your eyes, including blindness. VisiSolar eclipse glasses are designed to filter out the harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation from the sun, preventing eye damage. VisiSolar Glasses feature 2 mil scratch-resistant Silver Polymer lens material with an optical density of 5 or greater. VisiSolar glasses filter 100% of harmful ultra-violet, 100% of harmful infrared, and 99.999% of intense visible light. VisiSolar Glasses are made in the USA and are recognized by the American Astronomical Society. VisiSolar glasses are made with safety in mind to give you the safest and best viewing experience. 2023 ANNULAR SOLAR ECLIPSE - On October 14th 2023, an annular eclipse (when the sun forms a ring around the moon) will cross the United States from Oregon to Texas. You are 1 in 1 Billion people living in the path of the eclipse worldwide! Make sure you are prepared! 2024 TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE - Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th 2024. The next total solar eclipse viewable in the USA won't take place until August 23rd, 2044.

The glasses worked well except during the full eclipse but I have been told that that is how the glasses work… they were fantastic for seeing the moon moving to the sun for partial eclipse and then watching the moon move away from the sun!!! It was a great experience!!!

Planning on using these for the upcoming eclipse April 8th. 2024 Already tested them by putting them on and holding an extremely bright light next to the glasses, no light at all filtered thru. Love the fact these eclipse glasses are made in the USA and NASA approved! Shipping was super fast and the cost of the glasses are reasonable. Great buy!

the problem wasyou sell the same glasses in store for $2.00 for one pair. i bought 2 pair, i paid $18.50 for 2 pair on line. i took them back and was informed that my postage and shipping costs were non refundable. i don't think that was a fair deal. i should have had a full refund. i got the glasses free at the local library.

I decided not to get fake glasses from Amazon. So, I bought these. They arrived quickly and worked perfectly. I just wish they were more comfortable to wear. They scratched behind my ears. I put it over my phone camera lens and took some pictures, too.
