Dissolves easily I warm liquid or cold. I use in my hot cup of tea, daily. Won't affect the taste of your beverage or smoothie. I've had excellent results and I'm 76 years old. Had very dry skin and dull hair, several years ago. Now after using daily or almost daily for the past 3 years, my skin only needs light moisturizer plus my hair shines like when I was a child! Well worth the cost. Note: give it time. You have to use it daily or at least every other day, for six weeks or more before any results are seen. Be patient. It's a supplement not a hair conditioner. “Works from within”.
I like that I can mix it with my water, juices, flavored water, smoothies without changing the taste, having a drink cloudy or powder not mixed in well. I started have very dry skin and hair shedding excessively due to not getting my proper fluids and nutrients after the WLS. So I was told to try collagen. I researched and found this to be the best as far as ingredients are concerned. It helped with the dryness of my skin and excessive hair shedding.
I chose this flavor over the neutral one because the app says the sodium level is lower. But turns out, it's higher (120mg instead of 80mg). I should have picked the neutral one. Walmart, please update your labels!
I have been using vital proteins collagen peptides powder for just over a year now. I had seen it on social media by several people and decided to give it a try. My main reason for taking it was for the benefits to my hair and nails, but actually I think it helps my joints more than anything else. My knees have always ached from many many years of playing sports including collegiate soccer... And I have noticed that this has helped my knees significantly. I do think it's pricey but Walmart has the overall best price especially because it ships free since I buy the big one so it's over $35. If this didn't help my knees I probably would not buy the product because of the price. One thing I dislike is every time I receive a new container the scoop is buried in the powder so I always keep my previous scoop to use until I dig out the new one. I by this container every 5 to 6 weeks and I use two to three scoops every morning in my coffee. I cannot taste the powder at all as it is tasteless. The coffee has to be extremely hot for the powder to stir well otherwise it will clump up. I am not sure how people get this to stir up completely in cold beverages because for me it only stirs well in hot coffee or tea. I know you can cook with it and do other things with it but I only use it in my morning coffee or tea. Overall I like the product I have never tried another brand because this one helps my knees. I gave four stars because I believe it's a pricey item but it is working well for me.
Uses Stevia for sweetner, not a fan. I did get used to it, but wont purchase again, I attached photos of label as there are none on website. It mixes well with my tea concoction I drink at least 3xs daily.
This is very good for making brownies but , it needs to improve on the taste alone doesn't taste chocolatey for me. I can only use one scoop in a glass of almond milk.
First, good luck getting the lid off of this container. There is a zip tie type thing around the collar that broke it. I had to pry the rest of it off with a can opener. Then once I got the lid off, I find this threatening warning label. See photo. Very strange. I am returning it.
This is not the hydrolyzed collagen!!!!! Buyers beware!! There is a difference and I was duped as well!! Read the label. There are studies on collagen and only the low molecular weight hydrolyzed collagen is absorbed. My previous bottle clearly stated hydrolyzed collagen. This one only states collagen and doesn't have hyaluronic acid etc in it. Look on vital proteins website and see the difference on their labels!! My previous smaller bottle wasn't like this. The largest bottle is cheaper but it's not quality.
After opening the lid of a brand new bottle, I found a huge hole punctured in the film covering underneath. I discarded the item since I did not want to risk it having been tampered with.
I read a lot of positive reviews before purchasing, I was especially interested after reading the review where a woman's husband took it and it corrected his sunken face. Unfortunately, I took 3 tablespoons every day for 3 months and didn't experience any benefits in hair, nails or skin. I was so surprised %26 disappointed.
