This is Awesome ... Works wonderful, You need to load it as " per Directions" people, if You follow the loading directions, perfectly mixed smoothies every time.... Agreed it's a much smaller container than the Blender itself.... Hence the Need to follow simple included loading directions and will work every time !!!!
These were a great addition to my Vitamix A3500 blender. Ideal for making smoothies, shakes and the Indian lassi. Have been using them regularly for the last 2 months. Their build quality is excellent and shape is ideal for thorough grinding. Quality of the smoothies, shakes and lassi is impeccable! They do require an adapter for blending. I had purchased the Blending Bowl Starter Kit, which contained the adapter - so, didn't have to purchase one separately for these.
Good, but i have been used for a month and my container is stained after make a juice. i tried to clean it but did not work.
I recently purchased the Blending Bowl starter kit and this Blending Cup for my A2500. It works like a charm. I have happily packed away all other blenders in my kitchen. One star less because the blending cup is too narrow at the bottom and larger food portions get stuck there, making it difficult to clean. Other than this, overall product quality is super sturdy and leak proof- Vitamix delivers again!
The lid is great,seals well and of robust material. A bit wide for carrying in a bag but that's the nature of the flange design. The container itself has less capacity than I expected and would like but it does seem to have a vacuum layer to provide insulation which helps keep stuff at temp. The blending is ok. I think it should do better at circulating the mixture from top to bottom as sometimes the mixture is inconsistent top to bottom. This is always solved by giving it a hand shake in between or running it multiple times. But than you are adding heat to the mixture and oxidizing the food even more. Probably better than most blenders of it's kind but not quite what I expected from vitamix. If I could revisit I would stick with my full size container and just use my own bottle. Or get a second smaller (32oz etc container for smaller batches)
The smaller 8oz version has ridges exposed on the outside which makes it easier to open and close. This one however is housed in smooth exterior, and this makes it difficult to open and close. I hope the designers look into this. I think the blending performance is somewhat worse than the 8oz containers. The narrow part makes it unstable as well, since it is pretty tall. I would only get this for smoothies, if you blend anything else it will be difficult to get the contents out.
This single serving cup is good but gives you hard time if you don't have the perfect wet/dry/frozen ingredients ratio. The blades base is tricky to perfect attach to the cup. It is pretty small. I wish it would be a 30 oz container...
Needed it because I was sick of making 4 smoothies at a time. The shape is wrong, maybe it's because they don't want us to overfill but the food gets stuck in the slim part so it won't drop, and when you finally get it down the high speed throws it back up there so the bottom part gets over blended (fluffy). Also, it has to be closed very tight to detect and turn on. It took me a frustrated while to figure out that you have to put it on the blender to tighten it enough and to loosen it. Should be straight sided maybe a bit bigger. ps. if you are trying to figure out how to avoid buying 2 cups with mixing base, buy the 2 small bowls with base along with 1 cup, feels more worth the price ;)
This is my second blending cup. The first one has rust inside the lid, the second one the top has bowed and it is almost impossible to put on the blender attachment or the lid.
I bought blending cup with personal cup adapter. I'm very disappointed with the hideous design and it's performance. I'm so unimpressed that don't feel like using. Vitamix should learn from Magic bullet design and make it compact and easy. I went back to my magic bullet to make my smoothie every morning. What a disappointment !!
