Incredible Blending!

This machine is amazing. I've tried lots of other blenders and this one tops all. No matter what I put in, it blends everything to such a smooth consistency. My green smoothies are an everyday thing again.

I love my Vitamix. Best decision I've made. Everything comes out smooth even hard veggies that would normally be gritty in other blenders.

Easy to use, easy to clean!

We purchased the A2300 as we did not need preset buttons. We have used it quite a few times since we received it a couple weeks ago. We use primarily for smoothies but also have been using it to make large batches of Nutritional Yeast dressing (delish!). We picked the Slate colour which looks like stainless steel in the picture online but it is not. It is like a muted flat darker gray and surprisingly nice. I wasn't sure about the newer style lid at first but now I really prefer this lid. You just click it on and it's easy to clean as well. We followed the directions for loading the Vitamix when making smoothies. Liquids in bottom, frozen fruit in the middle , and greens on top. It has no problem working through any ice, frozen fruit (best to thaw for 5-10 mins first) or greens. I threw in some parsley with stems and spinach and there were no chunks or bits visible after blending. My husband was reluctant to spend so much on a blender and outright said he will refuse to use it. He decided to try it out when I wasn't home and was very excited after saying "It's awesome!!! It just blended everything up . So easy!" I knew he would be won over. We probably would not be able to afford the cost outright if it weren't for the fantastic payment plans available online. We have split into three payments but I believe you can split into 5 payments as well. Very easy to do. The only very small gripe I have with it is I find the cord a bit too short. It wouldn't need to be a lot longer but even a half foot would be nice. The shipping took longer than I expected. From date of order to date of delivery it was 2.5 weeks. It took 8 days or so just to process my order. It felt much longer due to the quick processing/shipping of other larger companies and how badly I wanted to have it in hand. Very happy with our purchase!

I've been using a Vitamix for 5 years. Previously, we had a C-Series at home and loved it. I've now had the A2300 for 6 months and it is just as good, with the added benefit of the digital timer and improved lid on the container. The build quality feels just as sturdy, only this time the warranty is a full 10 years. You can't beat that. One of the quirks with the A2300 is that the container is big. Great if you're making a soup or smoothies for a family, but definitely too big if you're blending for just 1-2 people. The 8 and 20 ounce containers are should be released soon. I would consider those as 'must-have' accessories when you make your purchase, so budget to include them when you buy your Vitamix or to add them later if they aren't available yet. I'm not unhappy about the large container because I use it to make pizza dough frequently, which wouldn't work in a narrower one. I don't expect to have the best of both worlds, which is why I don't see it as a negative. While I enjoy the A2300 and use it at least 3-4 times a week, I can't help but think that the best buy in this lineup is the A2500. You'll add 3 of the 5 available presets, without the touchscreen, which doesn't actually add any functionality to the blender. Overall, I'm happy with the blender. I think the container is too big for 1-2 people, but I'll order the small containers for single servings and sauces when they become available.

Amazing blender. I love it so far and much better than my previous Vitamix (Legacy series). This is a sleeker design, less bulky, and shorter -so it fits nicely under my cabinet.

I am so happy that I finally invested in a Vitamix (Vitamix A2300)... I use it everyday and sometimes multiple times per day. I love the power, the smoothness of what I'm blending and the ease of cleaning... Don't know why I waited so long to finally purchase...

Vitamix A2300 - New to Canada, new to me, and WOW

First of all, let me say two things: One, I'm a professional food blogger and I was provided with this product by Vitamix in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own. Two, this is an AMAZING machine. I've owned a cheapo blender for years and frankly I've always hated the thing. You can check off all of the usual blender pet-peeves: stuff un-blended, hard to clean, constantly needed to be opened up to push down un-blended food. Frankly I despised having to use it. So when Vitamix gave me a chance to try out this new series, I was pretty intrigued. This blender does absolutely everything I want it to, and it does away with all of those horrible blender bugbears. Right out of the box, it's gorgeous and straightforward. Nothing fancy needed - you can start working with it almost immediately. I love that you just place the top portion on the machine and go - no need to twist/lock anything into place, so it's wonderful to use one-handed. Despite it's versatility, it's also really intuitive. I misplaced the manual for the better part of a day (I eagerly unpacked this with my kids, and it was hectic) but I didn't need any help figuring out the basics. On that note, I adore the simple, clean, and uncluttered appearance of this new A-series. The buttons and dial are clean and simple, and the digital display tells you how long you've been pulsing - a very nice touch. Now let's move on to what it does. As you'd no doubt expect from Vitamix, it blends. Boy, does it blend. While I've already tried a few different things (more on that in a minute), I gave it the old smoothie-test. Rock-hard frozen nectarines and strawberries were absolutely no match for this thing. No stuff stuck at the top, no opening it up to push everything in. Even if you do need to push your ingredients down, you've got the awesome plastic plunger built into the top, so you can just keep right on blending. Not only did it turn my ingredients into a smoothie in no time, the end result was TRULY smooth. No matter what I did, my old cheapo blender could never really break down the little bits of food. Not the case with this blender. No little flecks of nectarine, no leftover chunks of spinach - just a perfectly smooth drink. My kids were smitten (and they've balked at previous veggie-containing smoothies in the past). If it wasn't already obvious that this thing packs a punch, I ran it at full speed while empty during the test/cleaning phase and I had to laugh; the blade spins so fast that it was literally blowing water droplets UP the sides of the blender. But it's not just a smoothie machine. I like a good smoothie as much as the next guy, but there's no need to limit yourself. The variable speed control settings and the timer take a TON of guesswork out of whatever you're doing, letting you easily create achieve the texture you're looking for. I would imagine that the ability to detect various container sizes will also be amazing, but we'll have to wait and see when these come out a little later this year. I decided to really give this a tough test by making a spice/veggie puree for some Indian dishes. With a fairly minimal amount of added liquid, I was able to completely pulverize Indian gooseberries (amla), a VERY firm and fibrous fruit/veggie. After this, herbs, spices, and tomatoes were also easy to turn into a flavourful paste and base for a spicy South Indian soup. Again, we're not talking about a beverage or soup here; this was a fairly small amount of liquid, but the blender tackled it beautifully. On to one of my favourite bits - this thing is ridiculously easy to clean. Throw some water in, pulse it, pour it out... you might have to wipe the sides down depending on what you're working with, but honestly, it's a breeze, and it's SAFE. The base is clean and uncluttered with a rubber mat top, making it easy to clean in case of spills too. I will say this (and it's not a complaint) - it's pretty big. That shouldn't come as a surprise - you're not going to pack that power into a tiny blender. The base is about 7.5 inches wide, 11 inches long, and 8 inches high. It'll fit into a big drawer, or on a good-sized shelf. The container portion is about 10 inches high. If you've got the counter space for it though, I'd just be tempted to leave it out. You'll use it a lot, and I think it's gorgeous looking appliance. At this point, I can't say that I have anything to complain about! If I was making a wish list, I'd ask for two things: one, I wish the lid was a teensy bit easier to snap on and off, especially one-handed. It attaches perfectly, but it tends to sort of softly click on and off, rather than really snap into place. That's a reallllllly minor point though, and it doesn't affect the performance in any way. Two, I would love it if it came with a nice wide, flexible-but-strong spatula (a really rubbery one would get impaled on the blades) specific to this container to help me scrape out less liquidy foods. But I'm being nit-picky really. It's an incredible blender.

This blender is amazing! I am seriously blown away by its power! I use this to make soup, smoothies, and baby food and it gets it perfect EVERY time. I was baffled to find out I could put RAW carrots in my Vitamix and it would make baby food for my 7 month old the PERFECT consistency! Being able to use raw food for so many recipes makes this blender SO worth it for me. Raw foods are SO much better for you and it cuts my cooking time drastically. This blender is so convenient and allows you to be consistent in your blending with the digital timer. I will seriously never use another blender!

What a great blender! If your worried about a lack of features, dont be! With the app this blender becomes just as functional as the higher models with the presets for smoothies, ice cream, etc. Couldn't be happier with our purchase and the red looks fantastic! Matches perfectly with our stand mixer.

Loudest Vitamix we've owned.

This is my third Vitamix. We bought it as an upgrade so we could use the auto-select feature and the food processor. The A2300 is VERY loud, the loudest of the ones we've owned. I called customer support and they confirmed this unit has a stronger motor and is indeed LOUD. It vibrates across the countertop as it runs so we have to keep two hands on it to keep it on the counter. We are trying to decide if we need to return it and the food processor since the FP will not work with our other unit. We also like the rubber lid better than the polycarbonate as the rubber seems more resilient. Likely easier to clean the polycarbonate. In a quandary about keeping this unit.
