The only problem with a Vitamix SOLVED. This is a must have. I love my vitamix and use it multiple times most days. I'm a vegan and make my own "cheeses", bean pastes, bread, sauces. I also have a large garden and put up loads of veggies I love my vitamix -- but scraping it out was awful. I wasted so much! NO MORE! This solves the problem. I get the container really clean with it. I LOVE it. It should be included with every machine!
I haven't had to use the scraper too much yet based on what I've made in my Vitamix to date. I have used it with my food processor and that is definitely saving my rubber scrapers during pesto making season. I'm sure once I get into nut butters this will be a handy tool.
I have had VitaMix machine, in one configuration or another, since the late 70's! The first one had the metal canister with a spigot on the side of it. My current VitaMix was purchased in around 97' which makes this one over 20 years old and it is still going strong. After all those years it was a problem getting the remains of anything, except liquid, out of the bottom of the mixing container. Not any more! The Blade Scraper is the easiest to use device to help clear what is left on the bottom and off the blades.
I had previously purchased this for others, my mom & sis; now I Finally have my own! I enjoy using it. Flexible scrapers & firm handle. Made to fit with Vitamix blender pitchers.
Only used this once so far - did a great job of getting the peanut butter out of the container but I'm not sure it'll last too long as there are now cuts in the scraper.
I own the Vitamix 7500 that came with the 64 oz low wide container. I am impressed with the 7500 2.2 horse power motor but not with the low wide 64 oz container which I find too big for my needs. Therefore I purchased over time the 64 oz tall, 48 oz and 32 oz smaller wet containers as well as the 32 oz dry. I love them all! I have only tried this Under Blade Scraper with my 48 oz and 32 oz Vitamix containers thus far and to my mind it really isn't made for those smaller narrow containers. It appears very cumbersome to me when I used it after making my smoothies and hummus etc. etc. I use my Vitamix once or twice a day (I love it)! I do hope when the time comes for me to use this new scraper with my 64 oz low wide container it will prove worthy of my spending so much money on it.. When I do I will update but for now I still prefer using my Oxo narrow silicone spatula, my Vitamix red two sided silicone spatula (they are no longer being sold by Vitamix) and my white plastic Vitamix spatulas for my needs.
Material doesn't hold up if not careful around blades. How are you suppose to scrape food when blades cut this scraper?
This scraper is helpful yes. Will it last long? Probably not. I read the reviews before purchasing and now that i've used it once I'm just wondering if this is the BEST that Vitamix has to offer? It is constructed of a soft silicone type material that will in no doubt be cut by the very blade it intends to clean under. You have to gingerly maneuver this scraper as not to damage it. I thought it would be a time saver allowing me to clear out those hard to reach food remnants but i'm more concerned about getting chunks of plastic in my remains. I honestly don't know if the tool is worth it and how long it will last.
Not putting full blame on the Scraper, but, I am not having much success in using it. Lol! Rather comical for me because it shouldn't be this hard. Doesn't seem to want to get underneath the blades and close enough to the joint to scrape any food particles that may be trapped. Looking for a tutorial. Lol! Very sturdy though. Would like the blade to be a little smaller or thinner to fit better under the blades and get into the groove of the joint under the blade.
My Under Blade Scraper broke during its first use.
