Ever since I received this fan I've been using it every day. This fan is amazing and does a lot to improve air flow and quality in my bedroom or living room. I now need to get fans for all my rooms! Exciting! Great quality.
We've been Vornado fans for years (pun intended) but this new remote controlled DC Vornado is smooth...quiet...and powerful...what more could ask for?
I bought a Vornado Fan years ago that I love, my granddaughter asked me for a white one just like it for her college dorm room. So I shopped around and bought this model, she has it, but I loved that it had a remote control, a timer and variable speeds. Also had a 10 year guarantee.
I purchased this about a month ago to use in my kitchen. I put it on top of cabinet to circulate the air and help it keep me cooler while I am cooking. Easy to control with the remote feature. Does a great job. A little noisy but does exactly what I wanted it to do.
Quietly Cool: At mid to lower settings this fan is unobtrusive yet effective. At higher settings it still lacks the hum and buzz of a less efficient motor. Exactly enough features - the genius remote or front-of-fan-accessible touchpad control the oh-so-handy one hour increments timer and the go-faster-go-slower settings. The fan tilts 90 degrees, and has proved itself as a whole room air circulator when set to bounce off the 12' ceiling at mid-level speeds. It does not oscillate but it doesn't need to. Bottom line: I'll be buying another.
comes with remote and powerful. Can lower temp in room a degree or two if placed near the door that leads to the A/C unit. My bedroom does not get good A/C flow.
I bought this model mainly because of the variable speed selection. I was extra pleased to see it had a remote. I love the fan, but as another reviewer noted, the remote is not as responsive as I would like it to be. You need to be directly in front of it, and I've even had to raise my arm to make the remote work. I still am a big "fan" of Vornado!
We own several vornados. The best part about this fan model is the remote. The fan does not circulate strongly up to 85 feet. It does an excellent job within 5-10 feet and a weak job at 20 feet even at full capacity. I wish they would make a remote version as a large that didn't require a tall base.
Cleaned my older Vornado and thought I ruined it so bought this new model - fancier with its fine tuned speed choices, much less noise, great power for the small size (my previous were all medium) - but I did not ruin it so I now have black and white - wish there had been a black model choice! -So far this new Vornado is working like a dream, and the improvements are great. When it arrived, it was cooler weather - nice to keep the speed low. It has been hot now, and at higher speeds, it is keeping the rooms cool and fresh. at 2/3 max speed ( I have 3 vornados going in 2+ rooms, 750 sq ft)
I was so looking forward to the DC motor to cut my electricity usage from the workshop yellow Vornado air circulator that was consuming 53W on Low Speed. I had no idea the yellow fan was so inefficient and my son ran the fan nearly 24/7 during LA's hot summer for the last couple of years. I figured the electricity saved from SCE would pay for this 6303DC in 1-2 yrs. Saw this on sale for $99 from $119 from Vornado before Amazon dropped the price dropped. All great, right? Not so fast. Although this DC motor was quiet, the fan vibrated quite a bit. Max power draw on speed 99 was nearly 50W. According the the spec, this fan can reach up to 85ft. 3 weeks later, my son told me the remote stopped working. I tested the coin battery, 3.2v. no issues, reseated the battery. Still didn't work. On Amazon Black Friday, I ordered this other air circulator, DREO (DR-HAF004S). Seemed to be a Chinese copy cat. It's a slightly larger fan than 6303DC for $85 (down from $99) with a rating of up to 110ft. Lower price, better specs, and more features. How could I resist? I was blown away with the Dreo fan. It is super quiet, swivels left/right, up/down, or both, consumes 38W on Turbo mode, multi function remote, timer, Wifi app (can be programmed to run any cycle you wished), remote on/off, Alexa/Google enabled. The list goes on. I was truly impressed. It's even easy to clean. Just 1 remove 1 screw at the bottom. I'm sorry Vornado. Loved you for 20 years and you are barely catching up. Even if you can offer all these features, I'm sure you'll be asking for a pretty penny. Maybe it's time to say good bye. Although I generally avoided buying Chinese brands in supporting American companies, this Dreo fan rightfully earned my respect. Best Wishes........
