I've been wanting to get a camera for my son for a few years now. I did lots of research & read a lot of reviews before deciding on this camera. I got this camera for my son's 5th birthday & he couldn't be happier w/ it. It's so easy to operate that he had most of the functions figured out w/in 10 minutes of opening it w/o me even looking at the instructions. It easily changes from still camera to video camera & he loves taking pics & movies with it. He likes to hook it to the TV to play w/ the editing features & games (more fun on a "big" screen). I'll admit the games are not "the greatest" they're just an added bonus, but you shouldn't buy this for the games anyway you should buy this if you want a camera that is "kid friendly". The photos are fuzzy & blurry if the photographer or the subject moves while taking a pic, but if everything stays perfectly still, you can actually take a decent picture. Being only 5 years old, my son hasn't even noticed the poor resolution. Like I said earlier, he couldn't be happier. If you have a child who loves playing w/ your camera, I'd highly recommend this KidiZoom Plus camera.
This is an outstanding product for children and their parents. I am the grandparent who gave it for a Christmas present to my 2 year old grandson. He would not put it down once they showed him how to use it. Excellent value for the cameras capabilities.
We got this for our 3 year old for Christmas, we had the Fisher Price one from a few year ago from our other daughter and thought we'd try this one. It is nice and has decent qulity but it is tough for a preschooler to use. The functions aren't easy to understand and it has a lot of options. Our 6 y.o. loves it, it seems more appropiate for her age. Overall a good toy though.
Bought this camera for my son's 4th bday. He is always trying to use my digital camera, which is NOT kid tough, so I thought it was time to get him his own. The camera it's self is wonderfully kid friendly. With some quick directions he was taking pictures and editing them with silly stamps and frames. He also figured out the video games and the video camera in a short amount of time. The photo quality is not professional by any means, so don't expect it to be. Although the flash does work well, photos look better when taken outside. Photos turn out blurry when camera is not held still on shooting (most of the time with a four year old) But the camera does take good quality photos for a child's camera. And he doesn't seem to care when the photo turns out blurry, he just enjoys snapping photos of everything! Well worth the dollar spent from WalMart.
I bought this for my son's 5th birthday. HE LOVED IT!! It's so user friendly that he was able to figure it all out on his own, once I turned it on and gave him a VERY basic tutorial. He found features I didn't even know about! He is sooooo excited that he gets to be a photographer now (even though there are a few pics of the floor, the ceiling, his thumb, etc). But it's a great creative outlet for kids. And it really is a quality product. I was also pleasantly surprised with the variety of features. It is a fabulous value for the money. I highly recommend it!
I purchased this camera for my grandson's 7th birthday. Just in time for him to go on his family vacation to the beach. He had so much fun with his new camera and all of the features it offers. It has already given him hours upon hours of adventure. It was very easy for him to use and the quality of digital pictures and videos is fantastic. I would purchase this one again in a heartbeat!
handled and managed features well - his 1 yr old brother wacked camera a few times on the hardwood floor without consequenses and my camera got a break ..... thus, both cameras are functioning well ....
My 3 year old really enjoys taking pictures and video with this camera. The only con to this product is that from the time you push the button to the time it takes the picture is too long. Most of the pictures turn out blurry because my son moves before the picture is complete. Other than that it is a great product with a lot of features.
This camera is really fun to use. Even my 4 year old can take a pic with it.
I bought this product based on the great reviews I read. I'm about to bring it back to the store because I'm so frustrated. Every picture my 3 y.o. takes and many that I take are blurry. I've tried experimenting with the flash to no avail. Also, when I go to view the picture that we've taken, it scrolls through so fast that we can barely see them. Am I doing something wrong since everyone is so happy with it??
