We bought these to give to siblings who are taking over as caretakers for the in laws. The in law parents are both having problems getting around and many health issues. The sister in law says they are working out great ! She can keep one in the bedroom and one in the living room, and take a nap or get some sleep, and sleep better now because they can check in on the in laws, or be called to come help with something, and not have to be in the same room. The units are working well, I am told.
This was a good purchase! My mother has alzheimers and I can monitor her activity if I leave the room. The daytime picture quality is very good. The infrared night camera is not crystal clear but very useable. The audio is super sensitive......I can hear her breathing at night.
We love this monitor! Works great, good battery life, we love that it has the "talk" feature. Maybe the only thing we wish it did was zoom out a little more but even with that, we love it!
I would like the viewer to be a little larger but I am using it as a monitor because I am the caretaker of my 97 yr. old mother. It gives me what I needed it for. A little stronger night vision would be great.
This two camera system works well. It is the first video monitor I have ever purchased and I use it to monitor my pets housed in a barn. Looking at the Monitor is like looking at a picture through a window screen, (others described it as "grainy") but it still tells me everything I need to know. The night vision works well enough for me to check in on them in low light also. The audio has a volume control and picks up even low level noises (like the radio I leave playing). I sometimes run into technical difficulty in the "parent unit" finding the camera, depending on where I am in my home, but my cameras are located in another building outside the home, so I am testing the limits of the distance it can connect. The barn is about 100 feet from the house with steel siding. I like that the unit will view each camera for about 10 seconds, then switch to the other, OR you can watch one camera only with a simple couple pushes of buttons on the parent unit. All in all it was priced reasonably, works well, and I'm thinking of adding a third camera to the system.
I much preferred my old VTech product without video. I couldn't find that make or model so tried this one. The audio is fine but if you're buying it for the video portion, don't waste your money.
For the price, it's okay. Which is how this forsaken thing earned the second star. First off, it's very awkward and hard to mount on the wall, and resting on the side of the crib, I'm lucky to see my son's leg with how close of a view it has. Second, it loses signal SO often, it's almost useless. Even with full bars of signal, it's constantly beeping at me, saying it's out of range (and there's no way to turn the beeping off), no matter where I put it. Literally every five seconds, it's beeping at me, and that's *IF* it finds signal again. It's unreliable, at best. The battery life is comical, lasting *maybe* two hours before I have to charge it. BUT.. When it works, it does what it's designed to do. It's just hard to tell when it'll work, and when it'll give me problems. As for my recommendation, I would pay a little more money to go with a different product. I'm very unhappy with it.
Reception is only 90-100 feet
hardly can see no color....lordered this early for my son who was just born and what a disappointment I'll be calling the company, there's a baby were he's there hummm
I received this baby monitor as a baby shower gift so I couldnât really complain because it was free! Although if anyone else is looking to buy this baby monitor donât waste your money. Yes you can still see the baby but not very clearly. I can hardly see him move unless itâs big movements. The screen is so tiny too. It doesnât stay charged long at all. As you can see from the picture my battery is low but it has only been off the charge for maybe 20 minutes now. Also it states that is reaches far but that was not the case for me. As soon as I walked to the other end of my home I loose connection. Also do NOT have them close together because it will make the most terrible noise ever and just wake your baby up. And you also have to have the monitors plugged in but you will find the cord will actually drag the whole monitor unless you have it in a position that is just right! I would never recommend this product to anyone!
