I've had clippers before, but this model is much better. Worth the money, and my CAT is not afraid of them. The cord or cordless feature works very well allowing the clippers to reach those nooks and crannys without fighting with the "cord". The attachments are a snug fit making them easy to clip thru mats on his tummy without hurting him. The clippers are just what I wanted. They arrived within the time frame promised, and were in perfect condition.
The Wahl Pro series is everything you need to start your own dog grooming at home. Very good price for the quality of the product! Not only was I pleased with the product, my dog even loved it!
These are the best clippers I have ever used. I have a Labradoodle puppy and this was her first cut. These clippers are amazing, they zipped right thru the hair and now she looks so much better and more comfortable now that the weather is getting warmer.
I've tried a couple other clippers and they wouldn't even cut the fur. This cut right through my pomeranian dog's fur with minimal noise. Check out her before and after photos.
I have a standard size American Eskimo and his hair was getting pretty long, I used to take him to the groomer for $50 a pop to get him shaved down every month or so, I was getting tired of playing out of pocket. I found this for $45 online and as long as I take my time in the heavier areas of fur, this thing gets the job done very well. AND remember to put atleast the shortest attachment on people, because if you dont you run the risk of causing some serious clipper burn to your dog.
got these to try and clip our cocker spaniel at home and save some money. the dvd was very helpful. and the clippers never missed a beat . and didn't nick him at all. they did get a little warm, but that just gave me an excuse to give him a break. as his hair was fairly grown out. Excellent for beginners. Cordless feature is a great plus.
I have 2 pairs of old inexpensive Wahl clippers. They have been have more and more trouble cutting the hair on my Yellow lab. Finally they just wouldn't cut the hair anymore. I keep these cleaned and lubed but they just wouldn't do the job anymore. I searched and compared and these clippers seemed like a great deal. I ordered it online and had it shipped to my Walmart. They came in within 2 days (quicker than told) but I did have to charge them overnight. They worked great! With no guard they cut very close to the skin. They had enough power to complete the job on my 85 pound dog. They do have more power (you can hear it) when they are plugged into the wall. But what I was clip the harder to reach places first (and my dog moves around alot) then plug it in and do the easier places like his back. The clippers are small and light but perform very well. I like the manuverability of them. They come with several guards, oil, comb, cleaning brush, DVD, scissors, instructions and the case. I would recommend these to anyone. They cut better than my parents' $200 clippers.
I have had this clipper for over a year now. My dog has a tough thick coat and I like to shave him come summer time and do touch ups throughout the year. I like it's chordless. Takes a good full day to recharge and you'll get maybe an hours use, plenty time for one dog. You can always use it plugged in though if need be. The Pro-series is recommended for thick hair (and so is their Kennel series). The trick for real thick hair I found is go at it from the roots just about. I dont know if there is a better clipper set out there, but Im happy with this one.
This is the third Wahl pet clippers I have purchased in the past ten years to trim the fine coat of our small Havanese. I like the product because of the cordless feature, and it is not a bulky, heavy clippers. I also like the snap-on combs that allow you some control over the length of your animal's coat. What typically happens with these clippers is that they work great for awhile, then they lose their sharpness and hair may get caught in the teeth of the clippers. Good product, good price.
Great clipper for price...i was able to cut my dogs long hair over 5 inches long and her down very easily. He only problem was that the clipper got very hot part of the way through and i had to finish cutting her the next day. Otherwise works great.
