Too heavy for one person to construct. But worth the effort. Also has lots of storage.
Love, love, love this entertainment unit! Looks great in our living room and fits perfectly in the corner. We have a 49"" tv and it fits great. Love the hidden storage and how nice the unit looks - looks very expensive. Item was damaged during shipping, but customer service was great and quickly sent a replacement. I was able to put it mostly together by myself, but needed help adding the top. 5 stars!!!
The quality is great! Finishes off our living room perfectly. Looks & measures just as described in the specs. Also great, within the closed cabinet are openings for plugs through the back. Makes it easier to hide a few game consoles we didn't want to keep out but also didn't want to re wire them every time we use them. Overall great piece.
I bought this a few weeks ago and very happy with construction and packaging. As an older user of this new technology ( buying online with delivery) I was a little hesitant. The box was soaked from rain on delivery as we were away. But as I opened the box, thinking I would have to return from rain..it was packaged with lots particle board that prevented rain from entering the main compartment…All parts were dry, easy build.
carton arrived a little beat up, but the item was packed very well. there was only one place where some of the surface had damage, but it looked more like a material flaw than actual shipping damage. Putting it together was simple, but you need to go slowly. I preferred not to take a chance on the wood glue that came with the kit, as I could not tell the age. I used my own. The small pieces were all there, as well as all the big ones. the piece is correctly measured although it wound up a little too big for our corner as I was unable to measure it prior to ordering the cabinet..... The piece would also look good flat against a wall as well as cornered into one. I thought the piece a little pricey, but what isn't these days.
We went with this stand for looks and price. I was very surprised with how easy the set up was and how sturdy it was once it was set up. We've had to move it around a number of times already to hide the wires behind the wall; and it's very sturdy when moving it around. We've had bad luck in the past with "saving money" with cheaper furniture online; but this product was great. I was expecting it to be a little flimsy and cheap, but would be OK with it because it just sits in the corner. Not the case at all! ***I gave it just 3 starts on 'Meets Expectations' because the first one we received was damaged. It looked like FedEx was at fault. The first one was delivered to our house. I brought it back to the store and they gave me a full refund and I ordered a new one and had it delivered to the store. The new one came in quickly, and had no issues with it. I also noticed that when we got the 2nd one, it was in a different box with wood lining on the inside of the box for protection. I'm assuming I wasn't the only one who had received a damaged one; so they must have upgraded the box to protect it better.*** Very Satisfied!
This piece was very affordable and looks really good In our new game room. It's perfect being a corner cabinet in that it takes up little room. We have a 52" flat screen on ours and it looks and fits Great! Just what we needed. You will need two ppl to put together just for extra Hands.
Really it's 4 1/2 stars. The only issue was the “back wall”. It just wouldn't fit until I MADE it fit!😉
I like the look of the piece, but it was a challenge to assemble--screws stripped, pieces didn't quite fit, etc. And the finish was flawed. It arrived with a pretty good-sized "ding" on one edge, and a couple of spots where the paint job had gaps along the edges. It just was more trouble than it was worth to try to box it all back up and exchange it. I just probably won't buy another to-be-assembled piece from Walmart, because the quality doesn't compare well to pieces I've bought from IKEA.
On all the vertical pieces the ends were rounded so the assembled product does not have a good fit and finish look. Even when the joints are pulled tightly together they still are highly noticeable. If I saw this piece assembled in a store I would not have paid this much money for this product.
