Very easy installment and activation took no longer than five minutes
GREAT price GREAT value.
Easy to install and works perfectly!
First, I do not make product recommendations to friends or family. Enemies as well. That said, I am a relative newbie when it comes to cell phones and service. For me, the simpler, the better. Also had SIM troubles that were easily remedied by exchanging the SIM card at Walmart. This handset is exclusively for use in my car where it paired quickly and easily. The GPS capabilities have proven to be an asset. Didn't grow up around here and do not know the streets, so any navigation assistance I get is appreciated. This phone is easier to use than the old Garmin GPS unit that failed recently. The 5" screen and voice recognition features means less clutter on the dashboard since it serves more than one function. The phone being locked to the Walmart Family Wireless service has not presented any little 'quirks' that I could not resolve on my own. T-Mpbile provides service everywhere that I will pass through on the 2000+ mile trip next week.\ The only issue remaining is the rarity of screen protectors and phone cases available here. Certainly not a deal breaker, but would have purchased had they been available. I did buy the 2 year extended service warranty that I usually abhor just to be safe.
Ordered online and picked it up at the store .I bought A phone from groupon and installed the nano sim card. I called family mobile and gave them my SIM card no. And that was it.it works great. The only bad thing was the instore pickup.3 people in line, took 35 minutes
In the end, I am very thankful for the customer service representative and courteous staff. Here's the BUT: Went to four locations looking for this SIM card. Wound up buying online and then visiting the same store I was just at within hours. The online activation to upgrade the phone is not available - or is not easy to understand. I called the 800 number to upgrade my phone with the new SIM card - no human voice. Went to the website where it said "call the 800 number" or visit the store. I visited the store - they said call the 800 number. Staff was patient with me and they called the 800 number. The extra steps is to repeatedly push the 0 button until a human representative comes on the phone. Once that happened, he got the phone number switched to the new SIM card and did a great job with follow up phone calls. Word to the wise - buy the card, call the 800 number, keep hitting Zero. :0)
The card they sold me was bad. I had to take it to another store the next day to get it replaced which is hard to do because you can't return them. The phone itself is great and have had no trouble with it
If you cancel this service you will immediately not have any online access to your account anymore and to pay your bill you will have to either call and pay a $5.00 fee or go to a Walmart store and pay .88 cents. You can no longer look at bills and verify charges and cannot dispute any charges! If you don't pay they will assign your balance to a collection agency called Convergent Outsourcing, Inc., 800 SW 39th St/PO Box 9004, Renton, WA 98057. Phone: 1-888-559-0016, Ext 2776.
Purchased three phones two said I needed to purchase nano sim cards so I did. Got home to find out all three needed them. Went to activate the other two and one card was missing the other was no good. It has been a week now and no local stores are carrying them. So I now have spent $500.00 on three locked phones that the company it belongs to does not carry the card to set it up.
I purchased the Nano Sim Card for my unlocked Amazon Fire Phone. I could not use T-Mobile within my house due to the low signal. Within a week of having the phone I decided to go with Straight Talk (also purchased at Walmart). I assumed this was a Prepaid phone and if I did not pay the next bill the account would be terminated or at least shut off. About two months later I received a bill for the next billing period. I called Family Mobile and expressed my concern that I thought this was prepaid and was informed I was wrong. At that time I went along with it told them I would pay the bill and cancel the account, which I did. A couple of months roll by and I start receiving a bill for $3.08. By this time I've long forgotten the phone number and this is the only way in which you can contact them. I finally reached a live person by going through their activation department. Which she gave me the same number that's on my bill, but told me to hit "#" six times to reach a representative. When I finally reached someone to pay the $3.08, it cost me an additional $5 to pay with my credit card. With all that difficulty, I cannot and would not recommend this service.
