I grew up watching this show. I'm glad I have the DVDs.
Overall a great item. Although its a little much to sit and try to watch multiple shows back to back. Great none the less.
I don't know what reminded me of this show. I haven't seen it since I was a little kid. But I'm very glad I got it. I think it's a bit overpriced considering how old the show is. There are moden popular shows on DVD that cost less than this. But still, as soon as I started watching all the memories came back. I remebered bits and pieces of episodes, like when Fred and Barney joined the Army, when Fred became a popular singer, or when Fred was confused for a look-alike. So many great episodes. But what really got me was that the show still made me laugh. There are a lot of shows I LOVED as a kid, but seem really goofy to me now. This is definitely NOT one of those. This show still has it's charm from Barney's goofy laugh, to the wise cracking animals, to all the colorful characters. This was the first season of the show, so you can tell they were still finding themselves with this season. LIke how the pet, Dino, seemed to be a different color later in the season, or how the opening and closing theme songs were much different in Season One. There were a few extras with the DVD I had never seen before, like the orginal pilot episode which never got broadcast, with different voices. Plus commericals with the Flintstones from those days, original photos and video of the guys that created the show, etc. I am really glad I bought the DVD. I know I'll watch it now and then. Most prime time cartoons can thank their existence to The Flintstones paving the way.

Love the Flintstones very nice cartoon too watch. just sat and watch on a Saturday morning and awesome cartoon for kids.
The Flintstones is a classic! I grew up watching this masterpiece on Cartoon Network. Fred and Barney are the funniest characters on the show! Now you can relive the old days on this DVD set of season 1. The sound may not be too good and the picture may look old but If you are a Hanna-Barberra cartoon fan this is a must! Highly Recommended!

I liked watching these cartoons again....the only thing I didn't like was the theme song when it first starts...it was changed...a big thumbs down.....other than that the picture was great...
