I really like this water flosser. It is compact and easy for me to use. I can only use one hand and I can't use regular floss. This makes it easy to get my teeth clean.
My family got their first Water Pik over fifty years ago, and I am so pleased with this current model. It is elegantly and economically designed! I can charge and store it outside my tiny bathroom, and then easily bring it into the bathroom each evening to use without having to plug it in. I could not be happier with this purchase!
Everything about this WaterPik is great (assuming you're shopping for a countertop model vs handheld). It takes up the least amount of space both footprint-wise and vertically as compared to other WP models and other brands, so if you have a medicine cabinet hanging super low and close to your counter, this WP might still work since it's not that tall. I've included a pic to show the difference between the Ion and the WP Aquarius, with my electric toothbrush and face masks for scale. The reservoir holds plenty of water; no need to refill mid-cleaning. The charge holds for about 3 weeks. The motor is not very loud so you won't disturb others. The only bad thing about this model is that you have to be very careful taking the reservoir tank off the base to fill it with water. You have to pretend you're playing the kids' board game, Operation, and make sure the sides of the reservoir tank doesn't touch the sides of the base, otherwise, it makes that horrible nails-on-a-chalkboard noise. It's really awful. That's my only complaint and I wish the WP folks would figure out how to fix the materials so that horrible noise doesn't happen.
Since I haven't used an oral irrigator for several years, it takes a little time and practice to get familiar with it again. It seems they've made several upgrades. I'm getting used to using it and am very happy with it. It's much quicker and easier than using floss, and also more effective.
I had never used a water flosser before I purchased this. The directions were easy to understand & I love the 14-Day Challenge. It definitely took me a few days to learn how to properly use it! But I love the clean feeling & am now using the glosser 2X/daily. I string floss first; then water floss; then brush my teeth.
I am enjoying this Waterpic Ion. It came with all the attachments and has many settings for water pressure, so I was able to work up as my gums adjusted. I can't imagine not using it now. It's truly a whole new level of fresh and clean. I add mouth wash to it and it's so next level.
This water flosser is great. No leaks, gentle on the gums and teeth, and with the removable tank, it's easy to clean. The hose for the handpiece is permanently coiled and stores neatly on the unit. The handpiece itself stores on the unit magnetically. This is much better than the countertop units or the portable units I've used in the past. Looks very professional.
I love the power control and the waterpick stays charged for several days. I'm a little messy, this could just be me. I'm amazed at how much cleaner my teeth and gums are since using this item
With my first model W-11, recharging had always been a challenge. I had to wedge something against the cord to make sure the contacts remained touching. Otherwise they would not and it would not charge. A year later it would not charge no matter what I did. I cannot be without one and so immediately I bought this newer model of the W-11. Now, I can easily charge it, which is very different from the prior device. As customer service is apparently very poor, I'm not sure whether I want to spend such time trying to invoke the Warranty on the earlier device. I wish I had attempted to earlier in the year though.
I was very happy with this unit, which received a high rating from Wirecutter. It worked nicely, just as advertised – for two weeks. I'd hesitated to order a another product from Waterpik because their products had broken down in the past but thought I'd give this well-rated product a try. That was a mistake. I would not recommend any products sold by this company.
