[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The improved design is much better. The can itself is the same but the improvements are the nozzle and the imbedded straw. This allows for a much more accurate spray using the stream or spray option. You can easily change the options by simply pushing the straw up at the 90 degree angle for the stream option or push it back down for the spray option. My favorite part is the straw will always be there when you need to use it again and again. Great new design = Highly recommend this product. I have added a few photos so you can see the new nozzle.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used WD-40 most all my life and that's a very long time. Newer generations may not realize how wonderful WD-40 is. I use it for everything I hear a squeak and before I hear a squeak. I've used it on my car doors, door hinges inside my house, cabinets, tools and mowers, locks, and tons more. It's really great not just for preventing squeaks but also aids in getting old locks open and old parts working. I do use it both ways, some times spraying and some times with the straw. A can of WD-40 lasts me a very long time. I like to keep a can inside the house and a can outside in the tool shed.
I use this WD-40 with the smart straw everyday at home and work it is a must have in the tool box.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WD-40 is a great product with many uses. I find it especially useful for helping to loosen garden hose connections and to help with sticky key locks. The handy built-in straw makes applying it into small areas very easy. Plus, the dual nozzle approach (spray or stream) means the straw doesn't get lost. It is always good to keep a paper towel handy to wipe up the excess or overspray.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WD-40 has been a staple in my garage my entire life I use it for so many applications from camping to Motocross to bicycles to my truck to my household stuff. I would recommend to a friend and will continue to buy!
The uses for WD-40 are endless. From squeaky hinges to smoother operation of household drawers and doors. Outside uses include yard equipment and automotive. Give it a try.
This stupid design is harder to operate and is easily breakable. I've used WD-40 for over 40 years and never had a problem. The formula is excellent for lubrication, cleaning hands, removing labels & stickers, etc. But, minutes ago with a full can, the up/down swivel mechanism broke and the contents are now unusable. Come-on, how hard would it be to "fuse" the original spray tube to the plastic cap? - A much simpler and less costly design. And as far as this up/down motion, I can more easily swivel my wrist. I won't buy any more of these until you offer a much smarter dispenser.
I love WD 40 and use it for everything. Loosening rusty pliers, nuts and bolts etc. today I was in the middle of a project however and it stopped spraying. I had to go to the grocery store and buy a new can to finish redoing my iron park bench.
I've been buying WD-40 for decades. My current 8oz can has quit working. I've tried the tips on the site to no avail. It's money wasted. Also the video states don't shake the can, the can says to shake it well. Perhaps I shook off the straw inside???
I gathered together all seven cans of WD40 from my ranch and home and they all have quit working, most are still half or nearly full. I tried changing different valve sprayer nozzles, and nothing worked, even the can with the "Smart Straw" quit after only a few uses. Perhaps others on the Internet have had this problem.
