If you have a Mac or MacBook and want a simple external storage device then this NOT the product for you. Basically what I want from a hard drive is to plug it in and start dragging files into it. Should be a simple process that takes seconds. Despite being literally called "EASYSTORE" this is a painstaking process. It is more designed to use its backup software (which requires internet for some reason?) to backup your computer or hard drive. Rather than a simple storage device. Even AFTER installing the driver software on the drive, I still cannot drag and drop files onto the drive. Googled it and there are multiple hoops you have to go through just to be able to use this thing as an external hard drive. The solutions for this problem all come from third party sources btw. Not from WD. Not in the instructions. THAT'S RIDICULOUS. Waste of time and money, just buy another hard drive that works straight out of the box.
