I know the picture and the actual pan is not the same. The product is exactly, what I wanted. It is a slope sided saute pan.I have a 8" pan, that is really durable and wanted the same in 12". Could not find same in 2 stores 30 miles away. 97 cents home shipping was great. The cheaper pans, all seem to warp and do not sit on the burner flat.
I purchased this product at the store...and after reading the reviews i felt that i should add my 2 cents.... the wearever sturdy hard anodized collection does not make a deep fry pan... the description of this particular product is correct...it is a shallow 12" saute pan... however, the picture is wrong. but the same company does make a 10" cooker with cover or "deep skillet" . regardless of the picture. the product is wonderful. i've had mine over a year and it's very durable and easy to clean.
I ordered the item based on the picture that is shown. This is not what I received. The item I ordered as pictured is a deep frying pan. I received a shallow frying pan.
Definitely not the product shown in the picture. It arrived warped and damaged. I have the complete set of Wearever Sturdy and I am very pleased, except for this piece. I bought this as an online purchase and will be returning it to the store.
I bought this on-line, then returned it to the store. This is the type of item you want to actually to hold in your hand before you buy. The cooking base is not thick and heavy enough for even heating.
The picture does NOT match item! "Fry pan" is on the packaging of what I received,a shallow slope-sided skillet, for eggs, etc. Website's Picture looks like a 5-quart "cooker", or straight-sided pan about 3 inches deep.
