Using the Smokey Joe to do sides when I run out of room on the 22" Kettle is great! Also if it's just a couple of steaks, no need to fire up the 22" do them on the Joe!
Great little pit. Does everything you want from a regular size weber in a tightly packed punch size weber.
This is a great grill. My first one lasted over 20 years. Most grills are simply over-kill for the type of grilling I do. I grill fairly frequently and this compact grill is easy to fire-up and easy to maintain and easy to transport.
The Smokey Joe is just perfect, it's basically the little brother of my Weber Performer Deluxe. Regulate heat and air flow with upper and lower vents. It's perfect for travelling and camping. I own and use Weber Kettle Grills for over 30 years and the Smokey Joe is another wonderful addition to my Weber BBQ Grills.
Hello! I recently purchased a SJ that I've been wanting for a long time. I recently have 5 units 3kettles 2WSMs. I have long hours at work and sometimes the late days get in the way from starting a quick fire BUT! not anymore No No!! Since I've gotten this little guy I've burned on it pretty much every day if not every other day for a quick dinner. Love it! Absolutely love it quick simple and easy! I also bought the compact fire chimney to load just the amount of coals needed. I love my entire Weber family and look to conplete it with the 22' WSM here shortly. Weber will always be my #1 grilling/smoking machines. Thank you Weber!
Perfect for individual meals at my backyard camp/outdoor man cave.
I have expectations that if it has a Weber brand name, it will perform well and be well made. It is well made. It took perhaps 5-10 minutes to asemble. I was able to cook on it just as every other Weber product I own. I am pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable grill.
Absolutely the best bang for your buck in grilling, and does an amazing job smoking low & slow, as well! Have seared beautiful ribeyes, and just finished an 8-hour smoke of a 3 lb chuck roast that came out amazing! When cooking for two, there is no need for a bigger cooker—-save on charcoal & use the Smokey Joe. Much better construction than cheapie knockoffs, seals tight for great temperature control for low & slow cooks.
Great small grill.. I'm Used to grilling with my large custom built Argentinian style grill. This Weber is great for when I want to grill up a meal for two. Largest cut I've done on it was a classic tri tip. But since I'm not accustomed to working with such a small grill, I admit I did have trouble with the tri tip. And I've Cooked many tri tips, but on larger grills. Two zone grilling is a little tricky here. The portability of this grill is amazing though. Construction is solid. I'll give it 4.5 start
Very effective little grill. What I really like is the ease of use, and how efficient it is with charcoal. I have done smoke tenderloin, grilled steaks, and BBQ'd salmon. All with really good results. Very affordable as well. Also like the fact it took me a liberal arts major, only about 15 minutes to put it together. But is it perfect? No, and here's why in my opinion. The top grate rests in a 'lip' in the inner bowl. I've noticed that the grate can slip off that a shelf a tad bit and be uneven, or out of balance.
