works as advertised...love the natural gas. Heats up quickly and assembly wasn't too difficult.
Weber gas grilles are quality products. Easy assembly and the Wal-Mart site to store delivery is awesome.
My last Weber has worked 15 years, but it was time for a new one. It gets hot very fast and cooks great with no flare-ups. The natural gas option means no more empty propane bottles on Saturday evenings.
I really would love to give the grill 5 stars, as it performs it's grilling function very well. However, shelf space on the sides of the grill is too limited to warrant 5 stars, and this doesn't include the fact that I have a burner on the left side with this being an S-320. The burner obviously takes up the space if it's being used, but even without using the burner, the shelf is small. The right side shelf is not useable for anything other than a few small spices, and they would get extremely hot being too close to the grill. Placing the controls on the right shelf really has eaten into the space for placing food-stuffs considerably. That aside, the grill itself is excellent for cooking. The upgraded parts over the standard E-320/310 is worth the price. The heavy-duty stainless grates are great at putting sear marks on steaks and other meats. I've had numerous co-workers ask me what restaurant I went to eating my leftovers from the house simply because the steak looked so good with the perfect sear-marks. But, looks aren't everything! The steaks also taste great. The stainless is of better quality than other grills costing close to the same price. The build quality of the rest of the unit is also very good. It should be noted that the sides of the grill are simply painted aluminum, but it's also heavy duty. The thermometer isn't a cheap warm/hot useless button. It actually gives accurate temperature. 10 minutes of warm-up on high takes my grill to around 700 degrees indicated, and this is plenty to sear a steak with ease. Clean-up is easy, especially if you line the drip pan with aluminum foil and simply change it out every so often. Getting the gas bottle on the 'scale' can be a challenge depending on the design of the bottle. They all seem to have different configurations on their respective handle designs. The burners are high quality, and the flavorizer bars are much more heavy duty on the stainless S-320 than on the E-320 (Another reason the upgrade makes sense for me.) All in all, a great cooking experience. Just wish it had more space to place pre-cooked foods, especially if you are going to be using the side burner, at which point you'll have ZERO space to place a plate of uncooked chicken breasts unless you have a table close by. My wife loves this grill too, and has taken to grilling more often with it over our previous, pre-Weber-owned Ducane.
One of the main reasons I bought this grill was because of the natural gas line rather than propane to connect to my house. It lacks some features found on some of the newer grills such as infrared searing, but as a standard gas grill, this one is excellent. It is very solid with high quality construction and cooks evenly and thoroughly. It seems pricey for a standard gas grill without a lot of bells and whistles, but if it lasts as long as Weber says it will, then it will be worth the money. The only problem I have had was the original shipment - there were no knobs in the box. I called Weber and they sent me a set of knobs straight away.
