My husband is retired, I am not. This booster allows us to travel and let's me still work when I need to. We have had the same unit for FIVE years and it still works beautifully. We did get an upgraded antenna and do have the extension pole. When we got a new trailer, it moved without issue. One thing we do know for sure is that it you don't have the appropriate distance between the inside antenna and the outside antenna. Apparently the more powerful they are, the more distance they need- hence the pole. A little bit of signal becomes decent signal, a decent signal becomes great!
Combined with Opensignal to find out where cell towers are.. so you can point the antenna correctly. It works great. It will not solve congested cellular towers or no signal from your cArrier. Also. You have to install it properly. You really need a good 30 feet between the antenna and your inside booster anetenn If you do all these simple things correctly. It's does the job. Do yourself a nice favor. Download the opensignal app on your phone to help find your carriers nearest cell tower
I could not be happier with this product and the WeBoost team. I always liked their product and honestly, has been always working for me flawlessly. This product allows me and my friends to be connected on remote places. Our RV became the network of our boon docking group :-). The customer service is something unreal. I was impressed by the level of care, efficiency and courtesy provided to be by WeBoost. I can certainly say they not only exceeded my expectations, but also made me think about how few companies nowadays have the same level of quality and care as WeBoost. One thing to be sure is when purchasing a WeBoost product, you are also getting an amazing service. The great experience starts with the installation. It is impressive how much thought and care were devoted to make the entire process incredible easy. Honestly, you can easily install yourself, all steps are clearly labeled, well explained, full of pictures and straight to the point. The second great experience is when you turn the device on. It feels like providing life to your devices, allowing you to stay connected in places where you couldn't before. It is always a peace of mind to know that you can use your cellphone in case something happens to you on the road or just to improve your quality of life. Finally, the service. You have the WeBoost team to support you if you need. The level of care, respect and attention provided here is amazing. This is a company where you can be sure to have a person dedicated to help you, compared to all the automated customer services that you see nowadays. My experience with WeBoost was great either by Phone or e-mail, it is your call how you want to interact with them. Thank you WeBoost not only for the great product, but also the excellent service. I honestly could not be happier with my decision to go with you guys to keep me connected in the remote corners of our country.
Im in a situation in my RV where my original Weboost with the omnidirectional antenna picks up a signal whereby I must set my phone against the indoor antenna to get news to populate ever so slowly. Forget playing videos. Now with the Connect 65, the antenna is much higher and after setting up, is pointed directly at a tower. Im only showing 2 & sometimes 3 bars but I can surf quickly and even play videos. Being in one location without internet is quite disappointing. Im glad that I took the chance on this one.
I rennovated a 60+ year old 40 x 80 pole barn to be my work shop/Man Cave and after installing a new metal roof, insulation, insulated doors, and metal liner...I have little to no cell service inside the building. My signal outside was good at an average of 3 bars but inside it was 0-1 bar. After installing the weboost system my inside signal went to 5 bars and reception is great! Now I can do everything I need to do with my phone including streaming music. I balked at the price for awhile but now I'm glad I went for it. Very timely delivery...Clear instructions...Complete installation kit...and easy to install. No regrets at this point.
Love weBoost connect RV 65. We were getting -113 dBm prior to set up which is just usable for internet. After setup of weBoost we got -79 to -80 which is excellent . I recommend this for stationary use.
I was a skeptic in the beginning. On Land in South GA we had no cell service No calls no internet nothing one bar in someplace but move two fee and it was gone the wind would change and service would come and go. Finally I got a weboost rv65 with a quick rough install plunged it in and 30 seconds later full bars. next weekend put in a wifi hot pot and could stream Netflix no problem and have 3 users on phone at same time
I multiple weboost products. All are great. The customer service is top notch, 5 star. The only negative thing I have to say about the RV65 is the telescoping pole. Mine is stuck open, seems like one of the cams is locked up and i cannot get it to retract.
Live kind of rural, have cell signal, but not consistant, after installing the booster, regularly have 3 or 4 bars now. Great improvement.
While the booster is fine the indoor antenna AKA: Hershey Bar should be replaced with a better antenna to give you more distance away from the stock antenna. I found the Fabric Inside Panel Antenna is the best for me. Now onto the pole mount outside. The pole is a nice lightweight aluminum that works fine for the antenna but the mount that goes to the trailer or RV needs major help. The VHB tape doesn't hold to the mount it's self very well. The mount will pull off leaving the VHB tape on the trailer. Proper material preparation is not being done so the mounts will come off in a couple of months. The mount should be scuffed or roughed up and then prepped using 3M 06396 surface prep and allowed to dry at least 15 minutes. Then the tape used should be 3M VHB 06388 and pressed on using a roller @ 15 pounds of pressure. The problem is the ABS plastic used is a low energy surface. Not prepping the surface correctly means that the tape will come off of the mount before it comes off of a painted metal or aluminum surface. Weboost should make then with 3 holes so we can uses pop rivets to make a mechanical connection to the trailers. Other then that it's a good product. I can only hope they read this and make changes to the production.
