The Weboost works well thus far. I've installed it in our RV 24' Keystone Cougar travel trailer, at our home in a rural town in Wisconsin. It is installed in the center of the back of the rig, and the top of the antenna measures at 12'6" high from the ground. The inside antenna is located in the center of the travel trailer (12' toward the front), and approximately 5" from the ground (in an open cabinet shelf). I've tested the results for both my cell phone, and with our Inseego mobile hotspot (MiFi). I look at results in two ways: (i) the bar-count, and (ii) the internet speed test, measured in Mps. To conduct the tests, I simply counted the bars available, and ran the speed test, without the Weboost plugged in. I then plugged the Weboost power in, and re-counted the bars (signal strength) and re-ran the speed test. The results are as follows: Cell phone (no Weboost): Signal Strength = 2 bars Internet Speed = 85 Mps Cell phone (with Weboost) Signal Strength = 3 bars Internet Speed = 118 Mps (40% gain) Mobile Hotspot (no Weboost Signal Strenth = 2 bars Internet Speed = 184 Mps Mobile Hotspot (with Weboost Signal Strenth = 3 bars Internet Speed = 444 Mps (140% gain) Note that I've run the tests multiple times, at different times during the day, and over multiple days. The results, for me, in my location in rural Wisconsin, have shown fairly consistent, and comparable performance gains. Note also that my tests are limited to my home location, in town. The real test, for us, is to see if the Weboost can boost signal strength in remote locations, with limited cell and internet availability. We RV around the country, and frequently have limited/no cell phone or internet available. This situation is the reason that we purchased a booster. Many fellow RVers have boosters, and after research, we purchased the Weboost. I am pleased with the gain in performance thus far, and look forward to testing it in remote locations.
Easy install, set up in no time. Huge improvement in Coverage and connection.
I bought it for my son and he loves it. He says it works great and he gets coverage where he never had it before. Best birthday present I ever bought him! Donna H.
I read the instructions and installed the equipment as directed. Works as advertised. We consistently get 2 to 3 bar increase.
This is my second drive reach product. The first product was on an earlier motorhome that i owned and had for six years. This Drivereacg RV product is improved over the other model. The inside antenna is better and has more range plus it is movable. The biggest mistake i see others making is not having a full realization of how ot works. You must have a signal to amplify. If there is zero signal, you wont get a good result. I installed the outside antenna on a telescoping tube attached to the ladder at the back of my motorhome. That way i keep the antenna below maximum allowed height restrictions but can extend it when parked if needed. I rarely have needed to extend it. I ran the antenna cable along the roof and through a vent near an upper cabinet which had access to power. This was about a third of the length of the RV from the front. The kit includes tiedowns that securely hold the cable. You do not have to drill holes in your roof or side of your camper if using this method. You might have to drill a hole in the fan housing of your vent however. My results typically have been around a 20% to 25% increase in signal strength inside the motorhome. This roughly equates to gaining about 1 bar greater signal strength. You can measure the gain in db by looking at the signal strength on your cellphone both outside the rv, inside the rv without the amplifier on, and then inside the rv with the amplifier on and standing next to the inside antenna. We periodically travel the country and like to stay in State Parks, Corps of Engineers campgrounds, etc. There are some remote areas with weak signals that make streaming our tv difficult even with the booster. However, this is rare and most of the time it works very well. I am very satisfied and recommend the Wilson Drivereach RV. I found their staff quite helpful when purchasing.
We bought the Weboost Drive Reach for our Class B RV to get us cellular reception inside our Mercedes 3500 Sprinter chassis. With its steel chassis, the van is a Faraday cage and is very effective at killing cellular signals. We also live in a cellular signal desert, so it served as a perfect test site. The Drive Reach performs admirably: we went from getting very little data in to a strong 24Mbps, and from nothing going out to 22Mbps out. We are *very* happy with the Weboost Drive Reach.
I ordered the outlander. Quality construction. We use it for our food truck when we do festivals. There is not good cell service there especially when there are 5000 people. The last festival we did using the cell booster, we had 3 bars of service the whole time. Huge difference than without it. Our square point of sale system worked with no issues for the first time. Highly recommend we boost products.
It's expensive but it works so it's worth for me. I live in a busy city with many cell towers but there are dead zones in an area I frequent. I can now stream, browse the internet etc in those areas with this product. Very easy to install.
We work in an area where cell service is spotty. Makes doing business difficult at times. These cell boosters are a must for our vehicles. Huge help getting a usable signal in areas of low signal strength. Virtually eliminates garbled or dropped calls while driving. A must have for us.
Seems to work when we have poor reception in trailer . Adds a bar or 2 when closer to inside antenna. But away from antenna it still gets decent reception so I guess one can't rely on how many bars are showing. 👍
