Followed installation instructions and the booster increased the cellular signal as expected. Now I have functional streaming
Originally, at our cabin that's about 5 miles from a cell tower, the signal inside ranged from no-signal to 1X. Outside it was at best a 2-bar 3G. We purchased the MultiRoom unit and installed the exterior antenna about 25 feet off of the ground on the TV antenna mast. When we hooked everything up we had solid 4G inside of the cabin. We've had multiple family members using it at the same time with their smart-phones and the speeds are great. The only caution I'd advise is to remember that the "5,000 square foot" coverage is likely based on ideal conditions. When you start putting walls in the way of the interior signal, the effective range will drop. We're able to cover all of our 600+ sq foot cabin even though the interior antenna is near one end of the cabin and there's a couple of walls in between it and the back bedroom at the other end of the cabin. So if you're picking which model to purchase, I'd say go larger than the ideal advertised estimated range. I think for a little extra money, you'll likely be happier with the end result.
I had my doubts whether this would work for us but it does. We are building a barndominium and our phones would not work at all. Now they do.
We built a metal 60x40 building with an apartment and storage area. Cell phone reception was terrible inside the building with zero to one bar at most. I would have to go outside to take calls or use the internet. Outside the building, i could get 1-3 bars consistently. Finally found and ordered the Weboost. Placed the Weboost antenna on the southwest corner of the building (14 feet high), pointed in the direction of the nearest cell tower through a thick canopy of oak trees. Placed the rest of the equipment in the apartment pantry about 40 feet away. Now i consistently get 3-4 bars anywhere inside the building. We are very very happy with the Weboost!! We went from useless cell service to awesome! I hated spending roughly $600 for a product that i had no personal experience with, but after researching and reading reviews decided to take a chance that it would actually make a difference. It does exactly what it advertised to do. THANK YOU!!!
I never imagined we would go from service in one window to service throughout our house!! Its amazing, i wish we had looked into it sooner. We live deep in the country, in the middle of 400 wooded acres so its def a game changer. The price is a bit high, in comparison to other systems.
Today we installed the @weboost cellular signal booster at #thelandbysuperesse and we went from 1 bar to 5 bars of signal. Great addition to our #offgrid #cabin. 1. Installed interior antenna to far side of cabin. 2. Installed booster to near side of cabin. 3. Installed exterior one direction antenna on roof of near side of antenna. 4. Ran coaxial cable to all components. Easy install and now I'm posting on social media from our cabin which was near impossible to do before.
I can have clear calls at long last. The system was much easier to install than I thought it would be. I did almost all of it myself. We went from one bar to mostly 3&4 now.
Don't understand why I should have to spend extra money to get a good signal that advertises “anywhere” when I'm less than 5 miles from a tower. WeBoost website does not work well with iPhone, so not able to accurately measure signal. Maybe service improved slightly sometimes (fewer dropped calls) but by no means would I term it good.
It was easy to set up. The worst part is meeting all the parameters, for example 20 feet between the unit and indoor antenna. I downloaded the app as suggested and my reading was -121 db. After installing the weBoost my db was -108. I suspect there is not enough signal to boost in my area.
We installed the WeBoost unit at our snowmobile clubhouse in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania. Our club has 40 family memberships and folks have cell phones with various carriers. Many of the members had little to no coverage at "the cabin". A number of members had no service at all. After installing the WeBoost, signal for nearly everyone is adequate to make calls, send and receive texts and photos, and access the internet. This is a huge safety margin for members using the cabin and we are very pleased with the results.
